Jason Chan Saves Up for Marriage
Since TVB actor Jason Chan (陳智燊) announced dating colleague Sarah Song (宋熙年), the couple shared that they definitely have marriage intentions in the near future. Sarah has met Jason’s parents and gets along well with the Chan family. Jason is currently working hard to save up for the big day and hopes to be able to afford to buy an apartment in Hong Kong’s expensive real estate market.
Although he maintains a busy schedule, Jason still squeezes in time to see Sarah. Jason said, “I’m not worried about not having time to see her because we always meet up with each other. We find time in our busy schedules and we would bump into each other at [TVB].”
Focusing on earning more money, Jason said he does not have a specific savings target for his wedding, “It doesn’t matter if you’re getting married or not, you still have to save money to buy a house and a ring. There’s also the wedding banquet as well. In addition to my daily expenses, I have to send money to my family in England – that’s why it’s important to work hard right now.”
Jason added, “Buying a property would likely cost $4 to $5 million HKD. I don’t know if I would need $100, 000 HKD for a ring or not. But people caution not to give myself so much pressure – it’ll be fine whether it’s a big party or a smaller one.”
Plans Trip With Sarah Song
Earning a bigger income may be a priority, but spending quality time with Sarah is equally as important for Jason. He hopes they can take a vacation together. With Taiwan, Thailand, and Korea in mind, Jason wants to surprise Sarah and will personalize the vacation so it would be highly memorable for her.
