Kenneth Ma and Tony Hung are “Love Rivals”
Kenneth Ma (馬國明) teamed up with his “love rival” Tony Hung (洪永城) to attend a promotional event for a wristwatch brand. The TVB actors, one who is best friends with Natalie Tong (唐詩詠) and one who is her boyfriend, appeared stiff next to each other as they went on stage. They barely talked and gave rather wooden smiles.
But their cold reactions were all just an act. Tony said, “It is just a gimmick for shows!” Kenneth added with a laugh, “I like this idea a lot. Other partners pretend to be close on camera, but actually do not get along in private. We are the opposite. We do not get along on camera but are friendly off-camera.”
Asking why they didn’t chat when they were on stage, Tony explained, “Both of us were too busy modeling for the watches. There was no opportunity to talk.” Kennth said he really likes this “love rival” team-up, and hopes to continue to do shows with him.
Tony asked, “Should we split some of our salary with the female lead (Natalie Tong) then?” Kenneth laughed and said, “That will be your job. I’ll just be in charge of treating dinner.”
Were they hired for a good price? Kenneth answered, “Tony is very expensive.” Tony quickly clarified, “Not as much as you! I will not say how much, but there are five figures.”
Though the love rivals have yet to collaborate in a TVB drama, they said they look forward to that opportunity in the future.
“You are called Hung Gor (Big Brother Hung) now,” complimented Kenneth. Tony shook his head and said, “Nope! I am still Hung Jai (Kid Hung)!” (Why are you two so polite with each other? Actually don’t get along?) “Take a guess!”
Tony then turned around and hugged Kenneth, who expressed, “Don’t let the secret out! We need people to guess if we are actually fighting for the same girl.”
Asking if Natalie knew they were working together, Tony said, “She does. She even asked me how much I was paid so I could give some to her. Very straightforward.” Kenneth suggested that the three of them should attend events together in the future. Tony said, “I have no problem with that but Natalie is expensive. She’s probably worth more than the two of us combined.”

i really don’t understand how tony could climb up to a first line actor so quickly. does he have some kind of connection?
@m0m0 I also don’t understand…He has no looks, no acting skills, no height, no charisma and not funny….so did he sleep with the tvb executives?
@snoopy Lol. He may not have the look but he does seem tall. Compared him and WCL of course he’s a lot of taller. I have to agree that his acting are not so good at all but then don’t forget he received an award for the most improved actor last year unbelievable right? I really want Matt Yeung or Benjamine Yuen received the award instead Tony. Tvb must have lost their mind somewhere.

just googled him, he’s 6. makes sense, kenneth is 6’2 and he’s just a tad shorter. tvb actor and actresses are pretty tall.
@m0m0 His height is stated as 1.82m but i think he’s Ruco’s height or a little shorter and Ruco is 1.8 m.
@isay kenneth is taller than ruco but seen ruco in real life and was shocked how… Petite he was. Very thin at that time. Now bigger a bit. I wouldnt dare say he is 5 feet 10. He looks tall next to a lot of actresses because a lot of actresses are so petitie and tiny.
@funnlim Actually a lot of the hk actresses are pretty tall. My friend took a pic with him. She’s a tall girl about 5′ 6″ (1.67m) and he was much taller and bigger than her. So i would say he’s closer to1.8m (almost 6 feet) not 5′ 10″.
@m0m0 if kenneth is 6 feet 2 then cha seung won who looks tall and is tall and is admittedly 6 feet 2 is 6 feet 7. Stood next to kenneth, at most 5 11 less because fukuyama masaharu is abut 6 feet less is taller than kenneth or looks tall. Kennth is tall but not 6 feet 2 because chris hemsworth is like what? 6 feet 3? Kim won bin who look tall is same as cha seung won. Kenneth looks no way close to any of them. Tvb actors is reported height minus 3 inches.
Tony Hung was from CableTV where Sandy Yu worked. When Sandy Yu joined TVB as a senior executive, she wanted to promote her former staffs/colleagues, and Tony Hung and Priscilla Wong are some of them.

lucky him then. there are so many talented actors in tvb, who never made it to their breaks. i also think pricilla is anything but special, that girl is too darn skinny.
