Kibby Lau Involved in Sex Scandal in Macau?
Throughout her acting career, 23-year old TVB artist, Kibby Lau (劉俐), never had much opportunity to deliver a memorable performance. Although she appeared in numerous dramas, they were only cameo roles that lasted for a few seconds. Lacking a stable income, tabloids surfaced that Kibby was involved in a sex scandal with a middle-aged man from mainland China. Allegedly, she pocketed an instant $250,000 HKD for spending one night at a hotel in Macau.
On May 14, Kibby was spotted suspiciously in Macau boarding a mini van. After having dinner, a middle-aged man was seen holding her hands intimately and the two later entered Star World Hotel. At 2 a.m., there was still no sign that Kibby had left.
Media sources claimed that they possess details of the situation and even has an audio recording. Allegedly, it could be heard in the recording that Kibby had asked the man for his age and origin, and whether or not it is going to be a “fast job”. She also told the man to delete the content on his WhatsApp, afraid that there would be leakage.
Kibby later accepted an interview and denied what the tabloids had to say. She explained she was having dinner for a friend’s birthday, and they had gone into the hotel to sing karaoke. When asked why she was not spotted leaving the hotel, Kibby said that there were too many exits for reporters to notice. She added that she is unfamiliar with Macau.

Today, Kibby responded to the reports on her Weibo and again denied the media reports. She posted, “The expression of a text can indeed kill someone. When a teacher gives you a photo, you can write a story based on it. The author can vividly put it into words, making it provocative, funny, touching, or even allowing others to feel disgust. Actually, I am just a normal woman. Removing the glamorous decorative mask, I am still a person of flesh and blood who has thoughts and feelings….Thank you to my family and friends who care for me and trust me. Don’t worry, I’m fine! It’s not true when it’s not true!”

God, would the tabloids just give these up-and-comer actresses a break?……..whatever they do is their own business and everyone has to make a living when acting doesn’t bring in the bread and butter……I am sure she is not the first nor will be the last actor/actress that might have to resort to these means to make a living…….

If you google search her chinese name, you might recognize her. She’s young but she’s done a lot of plastic surgery so I actually do believe these reports are true. She has old modeling pictures somewhere on the Web and looks nothing like her old self.

That picture of her in this article looks nothing like she does on TV but if you think of a recent drama where there was a “hot girl” that the main characters ogled at then that’s probably her.
I swear only in Hong Kong does it pay big dividends to be a rich businessman. You get to bang all the hot young celebrities and in some cases marry them even though you may look like bobby yip

Actually, I think I have seen her face in one of those comedies and she’s actually cute pretty in a plastic way. I guess they will do anything in order to be a more popular? Sigh…so young too, when you see her on screen she actually does not seem that young.
yeah she is pretty. i dont know why people against plastic surgery. If someone wants herself to look better why not. As long as your not addicted to it. A ton of people have plastic surgeries but still look less than attractive. At least she looks more beautiful now.

Lolz even if it was true, as if she’s gonna admit it. Imagine if you’re her and you got busted, are you gonna say “oh yep it’s true” and expect to get work in the future?
Does Tvb offer a fixed basic monthly salary to its artists? If they aren’t offering that, I hope they will start to offer some kind of a basic pay structure even if its a meager one, which may help some of the newbies and those who don’t get utilized often to have some income in between while waiting for filming jobs.
i think a lot of them are employed on a casual basis-ie only get paid when you get work. that’s why you hear so many stories about them doing outside work (like working in a cafe, massage parlour and other seedy work). i think the ones on management contracts get paid regardless of whether they’re working or not.

Holy crap! Kibby Lau has done more plastic surgery than any tvb artist I know. Her jaw is so UNNATURAL AND stiff.

wow, what happened to HK and the paps? The new generation feel like they have an agenda and a vendetta in how hard they hound the celebs. I wonder how they feel that one of them is now a Baby Mama for Joseph Lau.
I mean if this is not uncommon going back decades in HK, why now would they start reporting it since it is not related to a media product like a film or television series or even an ad campaign. It’s like the celeb is the product but she may not actually have any work to promote and she won’t profit from the paps running this story.
