South Korean drama Big Mouth starring Lee Jong Suk and Girls’ Generation’s Yoona has premiered to positive reception with many netizens tuned to the fast-paced crime drama.
In Big Mouth, Lee Jong Suk plays Park Chang Ho, a third-rate layer who gets caught up in a murder case and becomes framed as a genius conman. Landing himself in hail, Park Chang Ho races against time to clear his name and uncover the truth.
Yoona stars as Go Mi Ho, a nurse and wife of Park Chang Ho. Intelligent and beautiful, Go Mi Ho will do everything in her power to set her husband free.
Hoping to showcase their chemistry, Lee Jong Suk reveals that he had previously met Yoona, “This is my first time playing a married couple with an actress and it’s with a friend I have known for a long time. Most of our scenes were filmed separately but we think about each other a lot. I think of how Yoona is fighting by herself on the other side and I use that emotion to get into character.
While fans had high expectations for the drama, Big Mouth landed in top spot with a viewership rating of 6.2%. Many fans were impressed with the premiere and left their review, “The plot is cliche, but it is fast-paced. I think the drama will get better and better. The main couple are hilarious.”
