Moses Chan: ‘Tavia Yeung Will Make a Good Villianess’

Moses Chan attended the Century Sakura customer appreciation awards ceremony in Shenzhen, China earlier this week. Moses has been filming TVB’s “In the Realm of Conscience” for over one month. This is the second series in which he plays an emperor. His image is less ferocious than his character in “Perish in the Name of Love.”

Moses said he did not quite enjoy the filming of “In the Realm of Conscience,” noting that “All day, I have to face more than 40 beautiful [concubines]; it’s a lot of stress.”

In the series, Tavia Yeung will play an evil concubine. Moses praised Tavia, “In the past, Tavia often played good characters. It is good that she is taking on a more treacherous role. I have great confidence in her and look forward to her performance.”

“In the Realm of Conscience” takes place in the Tang dynasty and focuses on the open strife and veiled struggles between the palace members and concubines. It is inevitable that people will compare it with “War and Beauty.” Athough the two series focus on women’s psychological struggles in the palace, “In the Realm of Conscience” is a very serious drama and less exaggerated than “War and Beauty.” Rather the series is more similar to “Where the Legend Begins.”

Jayne: I look forward to Tavia’s evil concubine character as well. It is refreshing to see her portrayal of the character.
