Myolie Wu Attends Promotional Event for New ViuTV Drama

Since getting married and welcoming her two sons, Myolie Wu (胡杏兒) has reduced her number of on-screen projects and has been primarily enjoying family life. Recently, she attended the promotional event for the upcoming ViuTV drama, Mature Strong Women (熟女強人), in which she plays a sex therapist. Despite the current pandemic, Myolie still made an appearance at the event. Donning a bold red suit, Myolie ensured to practice necessary precautions and wore a surgical mask.

On how the pandemic has affected her and her family, Myolie shared, “Earlier, I heard that someone from overseas was sharing their personal protective equipment and ended up testing positive for COVID-19. As a mother who has young kids and elderly in the household, I have to be even more diligent about safety precautions. Those who are continuing to work have it hardest, because they have to wear face masks for an extended period of time. Even though an artiste cannot wear a face mask when acting, we should still practice precautionary measures like basic hygiene, hand washing, disinfecting when returning home, and taking a shower before interacting with the children.”

After leaving TVB in 2015, Myolie has ventured to China for filming projects. Now, she is expanding her acting portfolio to different stations in Hong Kong. When asked whether she is worried that TVB will no longer invite her to partake in dramas, Myolie said, “Of course not. TVB recently sought me out for a project, but I was pregnant so I could not participate. The filming timeline was long. Hopefully there will be an opportunity in the future to collaborate again.”
