Nancy Wu Wouldn’t Meet Up with Ruco Chan Alone

Turning 37 years old on September 9, Nancy Wu‘s (胡定欣) birthday this year has been linked with Ruco Chan‘s (陳展鵬) wedding announcement. Many fans hoped the A Fist Within Four Walls <城寨英雄> stars would date in real life, and as the media continued to link them together, things quickly got awkward between Ruco and Nancy.

Although Ruco deleted his connection with Nancy on social media, they are still in the same A Fist Within Four Walls group chat. Nancy said, “Congratulations! I’m very happy that my co-star is getting married.” Asked if she will take Ruco out to dinner to celebrate, Nancy said, “I don’t know yet. Let’s see what the group says.” Will she go out alone with Ruco? She hesitated, “I don’t think so. It’s more lively to go as a group.” If Ruco invites her to his wedding, Nancy said she will attend and bring wine as a gift.

As to Ruco announcing his engagement at 9:09 am, which coincides with the digits in her birthday, Nancy said, “Netizens have a good imagination. I actually love my own birthday, which is easy to remember and stands for longevity.” She felt it was a romantic gesture for Ruco to pick that time to make his wedding announcement.

Unafraid of the Threat of Mainland Dramas

As TVB is airing more Mainland Chinese dramas in prime-time slots, local viewers are starting to embrace the productions. Story of Yanxi Palace <延禧攻略> was a big hit, and Nancy had also watched it as well. Asked if she felt that Hong Kong dramas are losing their popularity and competitiveness to Mainland productions, Nancy said that TVB has tried its best to meet changing market tastes. “All TVB employees try their best to coordinate with the company to film more good dramas for viewers to watch.”

Nancy’s next project will be filming a travelogue with Elaine Yiu (姚子羚), Edwin Siu (蕭正楠), and Raymond Cho (曹永廉) in Switzerland. “We’ll all good friends. We’ll have a good time working together.”

Here we go again reporter need to leave Nancy alone since Ruco is getting married soon and yes they do looks cute together but things just don’t work out for these two that’s it. This reminds me of Myolie when she announced she’s getting married then reporter kept bringing up Bosco name.

@cutie777 the reporters in asia are so rude and uncouth. If they ask the Hollywood celebrities some of the questions they ask the homegrown ones, they would get punched out. I remember they asked someone if she is on birth control. Dont know if anyone can remember who was asked such a personal question. Anyway, no reporter should be asking anyone such a question. You are a reporter, not the woman’s lover or doctor.

The interviews in HK so cringeworthy. They will be talking about a wedding or a series then the interviewer would continuously attempt to sneak questions regarding the actors love life. If David Beckham arrived in Hong Kong, all they will ask him about will be about Victoria and hopefully he will reveal some sordid details. It’s embarrassing. The media in Hong Kong is a disgrace and the demand/taste of the public is not very desirable…

Now I remember who it was that was asked such an invasive, personal question. It was Karena Ng when she started dating Ramon Lam .

Still like both of them in AFWFW. Memorable item in that drama. In real life, quite sure that both of them are not. Would love to see both of them in another smashing drama.

    Love her shirt!

Ruco made things so awkward now between them. They won’t collab for probably another 5-10 years. That’s probably best for both, since Ruco seems so adamant that he’s not interested in Nancy.

Same for Wu Yitian & Shen Yue, although in this case, Wu Yitian was exposed for saying [email protected] about Shen Yue. They will probably never collaborate again haha.

I feel bad for them. It’s the netizens and the paparazzi who made things awkward for them. They were never interested in each other.

They’re not even compatible. People should just stop forcing their imaginations onto other people.

@birdy2415 you know right! The media is milking this engagement news for a buck, and using Nancy in the process. Man, that is cold and slimy. The delusional shippers started the Ruco and Nancy fake romance and the media saw a way to capitalize on it and make a buck. They and the rabid so called fans did not see the uncomfortable awkwardness they were creating. They need to leave Nancy alone.

I would love for those reporters to interview the Baldwin Brothers, Robert De Niro, Nicki Minaj, Jay Z, Courtney Love, Charles Barkley, Will or Jada Smith or sean Penn and ask invasive, personal questions. They will wake up in the hospital, the reporters, that is.
