Nancy Wu’s Reason for Not Attending Ruco Chan’s Marriage Party
With Ruco Chan’s (陳展鵬) new status as Phoebe Sin’s (單文柔) husband, all eyes are on his previously rumored co-star, Nancy Wu (胡定欣). Thus, reporters took the chance to ask the 37-year-old actress about her absence at Ruco and Phoebe’s post-wedding party during a brand’s promotional event.
Nancy explained she did receive the party invitation but was unable to make it in time as she was flying back to Hong Kong from the United States. Nevertheless, she sends her blessings and will chip in with her “sisters” to give the newlyweds a red envelope. When asked if she was envious of Ruco, Nancy said, “I’ll work hard for my career; I’ll leave [love] up to fate.”
Indeed, she has been working nonstop and earlier went to Switzerland to film travel show Roaming Siblings <兄弟姊妹去旅行> for TVB with good friends Elaine Yiu (姚子羚), Edwin Siu (蕭正楠), and Raymond Cho (曹永廉). During the whole journey, the group teamed up to play tricks on Raymond. “If Raymond is present, then he automatically becomes the target,” Nancy shared. “We still have to be careful [about him getting upset] but Edwin knows what Raymond’s bottom line is. We had a lot of fun filming because we’re all originally good friends which created this travel opportunity.”
Although she has been to Switzerland once last year, she was able to go to some new places this time. “We were there for 15 to 16 days,” Nancy said. “I was so happy I didn’t want to leave. But it’s also pretty tiring having to get up early and taking the cable cars to the snow mountain. But the snow mountain views were really beautiful. We also had a snow fight and even watched the sunrise and sunset.”
The actress expressed she’d like to bring her mother to Switzerland next time. “I’ve went with my brother, and my mom was drooling looking at our pictures,” Nancy expressed.
When asked about the rumor of Nancy dropping out of Forensic Heroes IV <法證先鋒> because she was afraid of Alice Chan (陳煒) stealing the show, Nancy denied it. She clarified that her schedule clashed with the drama’s so she ended up not participating in it. “I enjoyed working with Alice,” Nancy added. “After filming Deep In The Realm of Conscience <宮心計2深宮計>, our relationship is very good. [Not participating in the film] is completely not related [to Alice].”

Nancy looks beautiful here, but appears maybe a little sad? Hehe, perhaps over Ruco’s marriage? Not sure. But her acting has improved a lot over the years.
Sigh… she shouldn’t need to answer such an insanely dumb question. There was nothing between them. How much more obvious is Ruco’s taste that you can’t see for yourself?!
@funnlim I always feel the so called fans always are crazy in shipping on screen couples and I never find them as a cute couple from that popular series either. They were such a boring main leads. haha LOL.. This girl has always been stick and bones and didn’t seem to be RC’s type at all. If anything, she actually looks a bit like she likes him a little. It’s true that she should just say no comment on most things since people like to write about anything anyway. The “I’ll work hard for my career; I’ll leave [love] up to fate.” is uncalled for. Even as a person you can still feel envious of any costar right whether it’s a male or female? lol…. Well, it’s just a simple question that can equally simply reply with of course with a smile? haha lol…. n I see clips that she always stresses that they wouldn’t come out alone and congratulate him alone and now chipping in with others for
a gift? Sigh…. ok…There’s nothing between you there shouldn’t be any awkwardness?

There were endless choices for Ruco. Younger, richer, prettier, sexier.etr. The Nancy discussions are pointless. Phoebe is better choice in every way. The only attrituve Nancy has over most other women is fame and this isn’t even a ‘good wife’ attribute…
@funnlim you mean he’s an old cow (bull) that likes to eat young grass? Even if Nancy had big boobs she wont qualify. cos her age stacks up against her. Actually i dont see what’s wrong with her answer. She answered it graciously without any hint of annoyance although it was a very awkward uncalled for question.
When I first looked at the picture above I was like holly cow is she pregnant? I really thought she’s pregnant because of the dress she’s wearing? The good thing is she wasn’t at his wedding if she is then it’s going to be lots of questioning for sure.
The press needs to leave her alone. She isn’t his type and likely, he isn’t hers either. They are good professionals together and the press keeps making it awkward.
At least we got to hear more about this travel show. Sounds fun.
