Raymond Lam Shares Sex Scene with Chrissie Chau in “Perfect Wedding”

Raymond Lam Fung’s new movie, Perfect Wedding <抱抱俏佳人> will be shown in Hong Kong theaters on October 21st. In the film, Raymond will fall in love with his boss, Miriam Yeung Chin Wah. However, Raymond’s character will have one night stands with other women, including Chrissie Chau Sau Na.

To make the characters stand out more, Director Wong Chun Chun added a last minute intimate scene where Chrissie removed her top to reveal her bra in front of Raymond. According to inside sources, Raymond acted very professionally and did not gape at the well-endowed Chrissie, who possessed a 32D figure prior to the actual filming of the scene.

When the actual kissing scene was filmed, Raymond had seven outtakes. Many of the crew members teased Raymond that he intentionally had the outtakes in order to prolong his contact with Chrissie.

Earlier, Chrissie filmed a commercial for a Japanese food brand while wearing a light blue bra. In her bed scene with Raymond, she also wore a blue bra, which apparently has become her war armor!

Jayne: I’m not a big fan of Chrissie Chau; she comes across as cheap in her highly suggestive photo books. Let’s see how long her fame will last….

I wonder how Raymond will appear in these kind of sex scenes? Personally, I can’t envision him in these scenes since his image is so clean. Did he borrow any moves from Daniel Wu, who excels in these type of bed scenes?

  1. Uhm yes. Louis has big roles in movie industry thank to his fame from TVB. I think Lam Fung is quite similar in this case (fame in series helps to get fans to see the movie), but after Louis’s matter, TVB tides the artists more tight. Up to now, all Lam Fung’s new movie (TJATP and PW) are still TVB’s. Let’s see what he can do in a non-TVB movie, even non-HK movie (Legend of White Snake).

The industry changed a lot, so does the promotion.

Not only HK but everywhere in entertaiment world, the promotion is using with the help of Internet and TV.

  2. So much being said, I must add that Raymond is the only siu sang who is an all rounder. He has many supporters, myself included, for obvious reasons. Must also agree that tvb is overworking him bt I guess it can’t be helped as he is tvb’s cash cow nw.

  3. ^ Ya besides an all rounder Raymond is also the only one able to cross to movies after Louis Koo many years ago. Btw Perfect Wedding receives a high box office success in HK and the crews might want to make a Perfect Wedding 2 because of the success. Stop bashing the movie.

What a pity TVB only treats Raymond like a cash cow and overworking him.

Yes Louis’s fame from TVB series help him gain ground in movies. So nothing different between Ray and Louis both cross over to movies after reaching fame in TVB series and that helps their movies. The recent box office of Perfect Wedding shows that.

Legend of White Snake will show that Ray can do it outside TVB now since the movie has nothing to do with TVB interference.

  5. “^ Ya besides an all rounder Raymond is also the only one able to cross to movies after Louis Koo many years ago. “

We know you love Raymond very much, but, please don’t be blind to others’ achievement. Raymond is NOT the only one able to cross to movies from TV.

The following TVB actors have have acted in movies or already have cross completely.

    – Gordon Lam
    – Bosco Wong
    – Pierre Ngo (acted in Ip Man 2 which has nothing to do with TVB)
    – Linda Chung (2 movies not produced by TVB)
    – Kate Tsui (she even won an award for her first attempt)(movie not produced by TVB)
    – Fala Chen
    – Michelle Ye

Raymond Lam has one successful movie that happens to have good plot and good lead actress (Miriam is very good and well liked in this kind of movies). This is call successful cross over already? What that Jade Pearl movie who got bad reviews?

Hmm actually Kidd, besides Gordon Lam and Michelle Ye who are able to completely cross over to movies and left TVB, I don’t see the others as having a successful movie career yet. Not even Kate Tsui who won an award with her first attempt, but is left wandering thereafter along with Linda Chung. Bosco’s first movie is a crappy production and his second is a TVB. Fala got nominated but now focusing on her many TVB series. Pierre Ngo isn’t noticeable in Ip Man 2, it’s only recently that he got noticed for No Regrets. For Raymond, I agree that I won’t go as far as saying he’s “successful” yet, but Perfect Wedding indeed grossed about 5mi or more in HK, and about 10mi if counting mainland China for a week after opening.

In short, maybe there’s really no one following Louis Koo’s footprints yet. Michelle Ye herself isn’t that established albeit connections with directors and leaving TVB earlier.

  7. Masaharu,

I’m basing the list on Vivien’s standard. She said Raymond is the only one able to cross to movies after Louis Koo.

So, I pointed out TVB actors in similar situation as Raymond i.e. acted in a few movies.

Also, I’ve purposely add ‘have acted in movies’ instead of just saying actors that have crossed over, because I’m aware that not all the actors have completely crossed over. Only Gordon Lam and Michelle Ye.

  8. Masaharu – Michelle Ye isn’t established? Your terms of establishment must be quite high. I find her highly recognized by some of the industry’s notable directors. She’s definitely a force to be reckon, despite my personal opinion of her.

  9. I would agree Michelle Ye not established yet in the sense her name alone does not bring the crowds. To me that is what established means; name brings crowd or name brings awards.

  10. @Kidd: You forgot Bernice.

BTW, I think Kate is the one who has the best movies in TVB girls now (Kate, Linda, Bernice, Fala). She has more roles in huge movies than the rest. Fala only have one in a Shawn (TVB) movie, rite?

In the list TVB artists in movie, we also have Derek Kwok :D.

Michelle’s movie career started after she left TVB.

  11. Frankly and I wonder if you all agree in HK being a TV star is bigger than being a movie star? Some movies are good but most are insignificant. They churn out movies after movies, quality isn’t a question but rather the number. Sometimes I wonder are they still laundering money via movies?

  12. Fala has 3 movies where she starred in.
    1) Turning Point (TVB)
    2) a Wong Jing movie
    3) 72 Tenants (TVB)
She earned Best New Artiste nomination through Turning point

TV or specifically TVB gives an artiste stability of jobs and income under them, as well as recognization by audience as compared to movies or other TV station in HK(ATV for example). Raymond Wong Ho Yin and Moses Chan were movie actors before they come into TVB and get plentiful TV dramas in their hands. Kristal Tin once said that once she acted in a TVB series as a supporting actress a lot of people recognize her on the street, while nobody cares about her when she was leading an ATV series.

  13. @Fox

Oh, yeah. I forgot Bernice. I probably have left out others too because many TVB actors have acted in movies before. 😛

    @Funn

The movies churned out in HK are a lot less now compared to the golden era. A lot of movies now are also collaboration between several Asian countries. I don’t really like this trend. Call me stubborn, but, I prefer the HK movies with HK taste instead of the big budget movies pandering to Mainland China and US market.

  14. Exactly it is. Most HK movies nowadays tend to focus to raking money in international screens and mainland. There’s also a problem with actresses. While HK still has Louis Koo for example as an active leading film star in big budgeted movies, most of the female leads of this collaborations comes from Taiwan or mainland China. There used to be Maggie Cheung and Cecilia Cheung but there’s nobody now. Charlene Choi and Angelababy aren’t up to the status yet.

  15. @Funn Lim: Being a TV (B) star is easier for ppl to recognise but being said to be a TV (B) star only is a shame to artist in HK. Actually in HK, movie stars still have better status than TV stars. And being TVB stars are more famous than other channels’ stars (ATV, I-cable, Phoenix, etc.).

@ Kidd: OT: If I rmb rite, your username in AF is reiyi?

Lol, actually there are many movie stars who are staring in TVB series, such as Lam Hiu Fung.

Not all TVB artists can have leading role in movie. Most of them are supporting or cross over.

Well, anyone think tat Shaw’s movies are quite easy to understand? I mean the new movies, not the ones in the past.

  16. I have come to appreciate Raymond’s acting skill. Way back in Golden Faith, he was already quite an actor. I agree with you guys, I saw clips of Raymond trying to catch some sleep between takes -yes, I am sure he is making lots of money for himself and TVB OF COURSE but it is certainly a very hard life. Well, may as well do it while you are still young but man, that’s got to be bad for your health in the long run, doesn’t matter how young you are. Hope Raymond gets to maybe take some time off and GET SOME SLEEP and may be gain a few pounds!

  17. Just finished PW and this sex scene is quite beautiful :).

BTW, Chrissie on movie is ok.

  18. Yeh, I thought Raymond acted very well in PW. Considering his 1st doing such scenes, it turned
    out well. 🙂

  19. I thought Raymond did another of these scences in New Breathe of Love. That’s a pretty good series. Haven’t seen this one yet but that girl Chrissie is very cute looking with a bomb ass body. Fake though! I want Raymond as well! Please share him!
