Rebecca Zhu Idolizes Nick Cheung

Appearing in the currently broadcast drama Officer Geomancer <八卦神探>, Rebecca Zhu (朱晨麗) shared her memorable filming experiences.

She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to producer Nelson Cheung (张乾文) for casting her in the detective comedy Officer Geomancer <八卦神探>. Portraying a police officer in the drama, Rebecca said, “It was my first time filming action scenes. I’m really grateful to Producer [Cheung] for trusting me and opening up a whole new path for my career. The audience reaction has been very good too. I will also be embroiled in a four-sided love story. That will definitely be quite challenging to film!”

For her role in Officer Geomancer, Rebecca went through intensive training for two months and did not time for a break as she subsequently played a bodyguard in action flick From Vegas to Macau 2 <賭城風雲2>. It was all worth it, as Rebecca had the opportunity to act alongside her idol, Nick Cheung (張家輝). She gushed, “I was so surprised when I found out I was acting as Nick’s personal bodyguard. I never imagined I would be protecting a muscular hunk!”

Rebecca added, “Nick is such a professional, multi-talented actor. When I worked with him, I always try to pick up tips from him. At the same time, he is such a nice guy! I was filming with [his wife] Esther Kwan (關詠荷) once, and personally witnessed him regularly visit Esther.”

When asked if her ideal guy was modelled after Nick, Rebecca exclaimed, “There will never be a second Nick Cheung!”

Rebecca also praised Chow Yun Fat (周潤發) as being very nice on the set of From Vegas to Macau 2. “Of course I asked him to support Officer Geomancer.”

  1. Me too. I think she is very pretty and heractingis quite ok for a newcomer. Shes cute in geomancer

  2. She’s one of the very few tvb actresses that are actually pretty and has a nice figure. Her acting is good, but it’s a shame because her accent isn’t good enough yet, but prefer her than sisley choi.

  3. Rebecca starting to get more action roles lateley, like Sisley as well?
