“Squid Game” Wins Again at 27th Critics Choice Awards

Continuing to sweep awards, Netflix’s Squid Game once again shined at the 27th Critics Choice Awards.

With two major awards shows being held on the same night – filmmakers and actors had no choice but to choose between the BAFTA Film Awards and the Critics Choice Awards in London. While Netflix series The Power of the Dog took home the Best Picture and director Jane Campion won the Best Director award at both awards ceremonies, Squid Game managed to win the Best Foreign Language Film at Critics Choice. Although it did not win the Best Drama Series – it was nominated amongst other big-name series such as This Is Us and Succession.

Continuing to make history for his performance, lead actor Lee Jung Jae took home the Best Actor in a Drama Series award, making him the first Asian to ever to win this title at the Critics Choice Awards.

Although it aired in September 2021, Squid Game continues to accumulate awards at international awards and nominations, and is expected to continue the momentum at the Emmys which will take place in the fall.

  1. I saw HoYeon Jung wearing Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2022 collection…. I am clearly one of those that cannot understand why anyone would find a walking Chandelier dress beautiful ….

But HoYeon Jung does have very daring and personal taste in her fashion choice.

But Congratulations to Squid Games Team for doing such a good job!!
