Tavia Yeung Realizes the Hardships of Being a Mother
Last April, actress Tavia Yeung (楊怡) welcomed her long-awaited baby girl who she and her husband Him Law (羅仲謙) nicknamed “Little Pearl.” With her little bundle of joy arriving just in time for Mother’s Day, Tavia happily shared photos of her and her daughter on social media. However, she did not forget to pay an ode to her mom on this holiday. The 40-year-old celebrity acknowledged the hardships experienced by mothers and expressed her gratitude for her mom’s care over the years.
Posting an old photo of her mother standing next to her pregnant self, Tavia reminisced the memories they share. “Since young, I’ve always liked to stick to my mother’s side and hold her hand or put her hand on my forehead. She will then gently touch my forehead and say, ‘When you grow up, you won’t like to stick to me anymore. You will date and get married to a boy you like. You won’t like to hold mom’s hand like this anymore.’
At that time, I responded, ‘I won’t marry when I grow up. I will only marry mommy!’ Those words have always been in my mind… but I only came to realize how deeply a mother’s love is for her child after I became a mother and held my baby in my arms! Although I am not young anymore, in my mother’s eyes, I am still that little girl who said I would marry her…”
She ended her long post with, “No matter what my identity is, I know that I will always hold your hand. Mom, I love you so much! Happy Mother’s Day.”
Since tying the knot with Him in 2016, the couple has been trying hard for a baby. Having finally succeeded, the two are beyond excited about this new chapter in their life. Tavia is overwhelmed with happiness as a new mother and is determined to shower her “Little Pearl” with love.
