Zhou Xun Denies Marital Problems with Archie Kao

After Zhou Xun (周迅) married American-Chinese actor Archie Kao (高聖遠), who is known for his roles in American hit TV shows, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Chicago P.D, the couple often showcased their love for each other publicly. Three years after they tied the knot, the couple’s marriage is now on shaky ground.

It is understood that communication problems were the biggest red flag in Zhou Xun and Archie’s marriage. Raised in the United States, Archie spoke predominately English while Zhou Xun’s strength is in Mandarin. Furthermore, the couple is often separated due to their busy work schedules.

While close friends and colleagues have said claims of Zhou Xun and Archie’s marital problems were false, speculations continued to arise. Finally, Zhou Xun grew impatient with the reports and responded, “We didn’t get a divorce!”

No Plans for Children

Last year, when Zhou Xun turned 42 years old, Archie lovingly surprised her with a bouquet of beautiful flowers and a romantic dinner. Earlier, it was even rumored that Zhou Xun was pregnant but Archie had responded, “There are currently no plans for having children yet – we’ll let things happen naturally!”

When asked how about the state of their marriage, Archie said that they will call each other on the phone when they are separated due to work reasons. Archie said that he and Zhou Xun are getting along well and is unafraid that they will grow distant.

Zhou Xun revealed that she will call Archie “Superman” in private. She also enjoys learning how to cook more dishes so they can enjoy eating at home.

  1. It’s mind boggling how they can get married in the first place. A marriage is already hard enough when both have careers and in different sides of the globe. Then you add the language barrier, it’s doomsday in the making. The odds are stacked against them.

With that being said, I do hope them the best. Always root for geniune relationship.
