Yang Mi Shows Off 3-Carat Diamond Ring
Are the wedding bells finally ringing for Hawick Lau (劉愷威) and Yang Mi (楊冪)? Last weekend, the beautiful couple was spotted roaming around the streets of Causeway Bay, shopping for some furniture and other home décor. Yang Mi also proudly showed off her 3-carat diamond ring, a gift from Hawick, and wore it on her ring finger. Could the ring possibly be an engagement ring?
Last year, Hawick purchased a $30 million HKD luxury apartment suite in Hong Kong, which is jointly owned by Yang Mi and Hawick’s mother. Hawick expressed that he wanted to ease Yang Mi’s traveling concerns whenever she is in Hong Kong for work.
Yang Mi visited Hawick’s parents – TVB veteran actor Lau Dan (劉丹) and Lee Yan Ying (李馥瑩), on Valentine’s Day in Hong Kong. The couple stayed in their Mid-levels luxury apartment for several days before returning to mainland China for work.
After visiting Hawick’s parents on February 14, Hawick took Yang Mi to Causeway Bay in his million-dollar Porsche. Hawick parked his car inside the Times Square parking lot. The loving couple kept their hands together throughout their entire day of shopping.
Hawick and Yang Mi stopped by G.O.D. (Gods of Desire), a company that sells fashionable household and fashion items, and looked for kitchen utensils, home décor, and bathroom products. After 20 minutes of wandering around, the couple left the store empty-handed.
Upon seeing the paparazzi waiting for the couple outside the store, Hawick immediately smiled and greeted the reporters with a “Gung Hei Fat Choy” and Happy New Year wishes. Asked if Hawick is planning to marry Yang Mi soon, Hawick said, “Let nature take its course!”
Asked if the couple is shopping for their new home, Hawick smiled awkwardly and politely excused himself.

I do not see much a difference in his facial structures but he definitely got himself double eye lid. He was cute when he was younger. Now with age, and minimal work done, he is a fine man.

I’ve always like Hawick, he’s a pretty good actor. They do look compatable with each other. No complaints there. He def looks more mature

ambitious doesnt mean you dont need a husband. precisely bc she is ambitious, she chose a man that could provide veryyy well for her from house to car to stocks, what more could you want in a guy?
Oh come on. Hawick is doing very well for himself in Mainland, but so is Yang Mi. However, if she was that kind of ambitious, she could go for rich business men instead who could give her 10 x as much. I think she genuinely loves Hawick, and if they are engaged then good for them because tbh. I always expected her to move on to someone younger and more famous. I think Yang Mi’s ambitions are in career/fame, not monetary.

and where would she find someone younger and more famous? those men likely have someone already. what are teh chances of them being available, with their stardom, they have many women lined up to date them whereas for women.
its not a slight to say that someone might want more, who actually believes she doesnt care about money here??? whether she has money or not doesn’t mean she doesn’t want a guy that has more. i doubt she would like to be in an unequal relationship where she earns higher than the guy. plus she knows because hawick is more mature, he will likely marry her instead of playing the field. most women like stability so its funny you would assume yang mi would rather run to some young guy whom doesn’t have the emotional and financial maturity to invest in their relationship and future.
if anything, it is yang mi who is lucky to have hawick as most guys dont like to marry or even give this much to their women when they have so many choices around.
as for rich businessmen, they can also have many mistresses on the side. if yang mi wants to be one of them, be their guest. what are the chances they look good too? and businessmen are business men, they will not be stupid as to give you 10x as much. look at isabella, gave birth to 3 kids and still they didn’t marry, she doesn’t get access to his wealth either, only a few lump sums and still a detached family. or your yang mi can be like gigi lai, who marries a much older and half disabled businessman.
most celebrities in this circle are in it for the money. doesn’t make sense to say someone wants fame and a career, and doesnt are about money, that is utterly naive and silly. fast and plenty of money is the whole backbone of those seeking/having a career in this industry.
They do actually make a decent couple, I’ll give. I do wonder what all this coverage of their very public romance will do to their relationship though, seldom here it all ends well with everything out their in public.

40 is hardly twilight of his career. Man has no sell by date. If he still virile successful and good looking at 60, he will still be attractive to younger women. And hard to think she is only 24,. Are you sure? For a 24 year old she is sort of … used?
She was born 86 and him 74 so if he’s 39 she’s 27 if he’s 38 shes 26, depends on how u calculate the years, not a big gap they look good together
i know, the above pic she already looks YOUNG, but alot of the time she does not look like someone in her mid 20’s so i think they do still look good together since he does look quite fit n young for his old age hahaa..lol..

Probably not now. Men look their best at 40 to late mid 50 and 60 start to decline. The age gap will shown once Men in their 60’s.

Well, it is true that we don’t know sure if they will last or not. But we should not say for sure that they will part or not. There are some women who can take a step back in their career for love. It is between them anyways so who are we to say anything??
everyone has a right to voice their opinions, if you think they will last thats great but others might feel differently. I too, doubt they will last but they certainly look alright together.

She looks older than 24. Yang Mi is an idol actress, and not someone of Zhou Xun’s league/talent. Many film critics have called her acting bland and her singing amateurish, so I don’t know how far she could go with her career if she doesn’t improve in her acting. There’s new idol actresses who are young and pretty popping up everyday that could take her place someday. It’s wise to find a husband who’s successful and loves her to settle down with.
yeah, and her singing voice is even more horrible than her acting. since she’s in everything now, she better grab as much as she can now since there are other pretty, young and talented actresses in china that are better in acting than she is.

I know, a total nobody back in the days in TVB. His promiment role as one of the commentator’s say above was that comedy w/lots of episodes and my family which i doubt anyone remembers him. I didnt for sure until that China i saw him in and finally it registered on me that he was that HK TVB veterans son. haha..He does still look good for his age even thou, a bit fake at times, too smooth the face but since this young china in demand actress right now has the hots for him, it kind of builds up his popularity.
He was always a fine looking man since the beginning. What bothers me is when ppl or celebs ges PS and denying it. It says alot about your character and thats how rich and fam changes ppl from inside out, most of the time it leaves you unhappy with an empty soul. Michael Jackson…Elvis etc they’re very famous but left the world in a very sad situation because they are so empty and sick inside. Hope that’s not the case for him but rich and fam is not easy to handle…all the best to him.
Never watched his Mainland series but his most memorable to date was in No Turning Back where he co lead with Patrick Tam. I thought he was great in there. His roles weren’t prominent enough in TVB I only recognized him in My Family and Shades of Truth.
His rise to fame in China was due to that creepy boyfriend from hell disguised as some knight in shining armour.

They look so cute! Personally, a woman’s heart is hard to read, especially a celebrities like Yang Mi. She has always seemed a bit more complex….even secretive as a human being. I think her public face and private face are very different. In anything, I think the older Hawick might be the more transparent one…not that he is simple, but he knows himself. And perhaps, that is why a younger woman like Yang Mi likes him.
