Joe Ma and Kate Tsui Complete Filming “Smooth Talker”
To celebrate the completed filming for TVB drama Smooth Talker <以和為貴>, main stars Joe Ma (馬德鐘), Kate Tsui (徐子珊), Elena Kong (江美儀), Johnson Lee (李思捷), and Tommy Wong (黃光亮) treated the entire cast and backstage crew to a big celebratory dinner. The drama is scheduled to be released in May.
Since his per-series filming contract with TVB just ended, Joe revealed he is currently in the midst of negotiating for a possible renewal. “Money is important! It’s not important [with regards to what type of dramas I want to film]. For example, my character in Smooth Talker is very good. The audience rarely sees me as a triad boss figure.”
Like other TVB artistes who have ventured to China to increase their earnings, Joe admitted his interest in the Mainland market. However, Joe wishes to still remain a part of the TVB family. “When I go back to Mainland, I’m the only Hong Kong person there most of the time. When I come back to TVB, like this time, I know everyone here. It feels more intimate and happy.”
As to TVB executive Sandy Yue’s (余詠珊) intention of bringing in new staff, Joe hopes that TVB will be able to retain some of its old artistes so they can train newcomers and help expand TVB’s ever-growing business.

The cast sounds like such a bore. Will not watch these 2 lechers’ Joe and Johnson’s dramas.
The cast looks quite promissing.
Mainland is big money but you lose HK fame, he should remain in HongKong at least on a per-serie contract.
HK fame or more money? hmmmmm.
HK fame = endorsements. TVB doesn’t pay much but the endorsements in HK can be quite good money.
Joe is a good actor he is really good in both ancient and modern dramas
