Grace Chan: “Kevin Cheng is Worth 100 Points”

Dating for three years, Grace Chan (陳凱琳) has always praised Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎) for being an attentive and loving boyfriend. Since he is 22 years older, Kevin’s maturity enables him to take care of Grace and get along well with her parents.

While filming Justice Bao <包青天再起風雲> in Hengdian, Grace got a heat stroke due to the high temperatures. “Fortunately, my mother went too and could take care of me. I vomited and felt awful. It was a ten-day filming trip, but I already got sick on the second day. I was hurting so much, I couldn’t stop crying while filming. My mother felt awful for me.”

Kevin was a groomsman at Jazz Lam‘s (林子善) wedding in Hong Kong on the day Grace got sick. “I knew he would be anxious, so I sent him a text in the a.m. hours. I was surprised he wasn’t asleep yet. He said if I didn’t tell him I was okay, he wouldn’t be able to fall asleep anyway.” Grace added that Kevin is a very sweet boyfriend and “definitely worth 100 points!” Grace added that Kevin also gets along very well with her father.

When it was seen that Grace had a lot of questions to ask upcoming bride, Elanne Kong (江若琳), many wondered if Grace was interested in getting wedding advice. Grace said, “I’m just concerned about her wedding. She said she needs a good friend to help out. I don’t have any [wedding] plans yet, so I didn’t ask her.”

Jazz Lam had leaked that one of his good friends will be getting married soon, leading many to think that Kevin will be the next groom. Grace said, “Maybe it’s Kenneth Ma (馬國明)? Let me pass the ball to him! I’m just focused on filming dramas and restoring my health now.”

  1. Just as Karena Ng is known for being the gold digger girlfriend of Raymond Lam, Grace is known for being the Motor Mouth girlfriend of Kevin Cheng.

I agree and not trying to be rude but I have noticed that every single article about her is about her talking about Kevin. I find it sad that she has to live in someone else’s shadow and be known because you are associated with someone else instead of being known for yourself and your own accomplishments. You actually sort of lose your own identity which is very sad.

Also for her to get sick so easily from filming for only 10 days China. She was already whining and got sick on the second day. She had her mom with her too and was still whining?what about the many others who do not have their mom by their side? She sounds like she has princess syndrome. Maybe a career in show biz is not for her? This is a hard and difficult circle that you need to be able to work hard in and endure many hardships. Maybe she should just marry Kevin and retire. Plus, her acting is not good too so maybe retiring is a better option for her.

      1. C.f.@hetieshou exactly. I rooted for her in the Miss Hong Kong pageant, as she seemed so smart with her answers. After she started dating Kevin, Grace changed, and not for the better. She needs her own identity. She needs her own little space and independence, and not let her life be centered on Kevin’s. What is going to happen if that relationship finishes…. I don’t even want to think about it. I like to see women being independent. I pray Kevin do right by her and marry her, or she gonna go mental. 97% of her conversations is “kevin, kevin, kevin. Kevin this, kevin that”. What about Grace the person, the woman, the individual, what Grace likes, outside of Kevin, haha. All I know about Grace is she cannot act and she Kevin-yaps all the time, and she is a media darling, cause she gives them all they want to know, and don’t want to know, about Kevin, of course.

A bit off topic, I get the impression that you studied hard and work hard to sustain yourself. Everyone should do that, so that they have the ability to look after themselve. I too am proud of my degree and love to work hard. Good for you @hetieshou

      2. @bubbletea
Thanks and I thought I was the only one who thought she talked too much about Kevin. It is true that when anyone dates anyone, they would of course talk about them. However, people know their limits and they have other things in their life to talk about and concentrate on not just their boyfriend/girlfriend. In this case, she never spares any chance to talk about Kevin. I feel as if she is exploiting Kevin at every single chance she gets. I find that sad.

Thanks for your sweet words and I am glad you are proud of your degree as you worked hard for it. I have no choice but must work hard to take care of myself plus others as I am an orphan now(I lost both my parents already). My late parents always taught me to take care of myself as they said there will be a day that they will both leave me. I have brothers but they have their own life and after they marry, they live their own life and care for their own family. Sadly some people take their parents and others for granted. We seem to be twins with similar minds!

      3. @hetieshou get married and retire lol omg i like it. Well maybe it suits her. It would be better if she goes like: im going to film a series which the script i like a lot or bla bla bla…instead of Kevin.

      4. @hetieshou What is there to talk about besides her love life with Kevin Cheng? Would you rather the article to step on her and say that her acting is bad? I’m just saying that it’s not her fault that she has to live in someone else’s shadow. Love is blind. She can’t just break up with Kevin just because she’s unable to show her identity. I don’t keep track of every moment of her, but I follow her Instagram and she doesn’t really show as much affection for Kevin compared to the articles. Instead, she’s more into baking and eating sweets. Besides, articles’ purpose is to catch reader’s attention.

As for getting sick in China, it’s not her fault either. Everybody’s immune system is different. Hers could be weaker. I get that her answer sounds like she’s whining since her mother was there and that she was still crying, but that doesn’t mean that she has Princess Syndrome. Maybe this is her first time filming in China so it’s a new experience for her. I think she was just trying to explain what happened and shared her feelings. It doesn’t mean that she’s whining.

I don’t know where her career path lies, but when she was known as the wealthy Grace Chan in the Miss HK Pageant, she was intelligent, careful, and smart. I really liked the precision she had in her pronunciations. This is her identity. If only she could work on her acting skills, she could really stand out.

      5. @mi88 she has filmed in china before for Captain of Destiny and she had her mother with her too. She’s just a pampered whiny princess who really ought to rethink her career in acting and spare the audience the torture of having to watch her “act”. She seems to be full of self pity making it seem like she has suffered for the sake of the audience (same attitude towards criticism about her acting………..i already tried my best , it’s not my fault you all don’t like me………….whines……..)

      6. @mi88
Exactly! She has nothing more to talk about besides Kevin. I feel as if she is exploiting him for every ounce of fame and attention that she can get. Sometimes it feels like she is a fan girl obsessing over her idol which may be kind of true. I heard back in the days when she did not enter the circle yet, she was a big fan of his and had a crush on him. Therefore, in a sense her dream of marrying her idol may come true which is rare but does happen. It is true that when you date it is normal to talk about your boyfriend/girlfriend but she overdoes it and never passes up the chance to talk about him as if her life revolves around him. I honestly do not find that healthy.

Who does not get sick when filming even when still in HK. But for her she makes it seem like it is the biggest deal. Plus, she had her mom with her too. She still needs her mom to care for her? Oh dear… My late parents taught me something that I can never forget which is when a poor person spills their organs no one seems to care but when a rich person gets a tiny cut in their finger, it is the biggest deal. I sense that with Grace but I can be wrong.

Honestly even if she was intelligent, careful or whatever, it does not mean she can be a good actress. I feel acting is a skill you can get better with time but it is also a skill where you either have it or you don’t. I have seen many act for many years and are still bad while some just act in just a few series and you immediately see how good they are. I have a feeling that her career in show biz will be short lived like Mandy Cho but I can be wrong. Time will tell.

      7. @hetieshou which actress doesn’t go overseas? which actress doesn’t fall sick? do they tell reporters they are vomiting and crying? this is a very tough industry…if she cannot endure, she better quit and go back to Canada. her acting skills have never improved.
        Grace Chan = Turbo Mouth.

      8. @janet72 well said. I too agree with @hetieshou. So many actresses have gotten sick, hurt or depressed while away filming and they did not have any family members around, and yet they did not whine or complain. Grace had her mom with her and still she whined and complained.

To anyone who is giving @hetieshou‘s comment shade, you need to know this. Grace whines and complains about everything. When the fans were saying her acting is very poor, and it is, Grace whined and lamented how she did her best and what do the fans expect from her. She behaved like the fans had done the worst things to her. She is a spoilt, motor mouth drama queen, plain and simple.

      9. @bubbletea
Thanks and as always well said! Who does not get sick when filming overseas and even in HK? But who whines like her? I just get the feeling that she is a spoiled drama queen who just cannot endure hardships. Sorry but if she continues on like this, her “career” in this circle will be short lived.

      10. @janet72
Exactly! It seems like she cannot handle the hardships and pressure of being in the e circle. I have feeling she will be like Mandy Cho. Just get married, have kids and become a housewife! Her acting has not gotten any better either.

  2. “He said if I didn’t tell him I was okay, he wouldn’t be able to fall asleep anyway.”

Awww that is so sweet! <3

  3. “Kevin’s maturity enables him to take care of Grace and get along well with her parents.”……

now i really loled at this cos he and her parents are from the same generation!

    1. @passingby kevin cheng AND her parents are from the same generation. it’s REALLY time for her to get married, have many kids to keep her busy and most importantly, please go back to Canada. her acting sucks! her role in ‘flying tigers’ is supposed to be a pathologist but she behaves as though she is suffering from some mental illness.
