Charmaine Sheh Doesn’t Want to Date Younger Men

Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼) is known to be a hardworking actress and is extremely dedicated to her craft. However, the years of exertion and lack of rest may finally be taking its toll on the 42-year-old actress’ health. It was recently reported that Charmaine had fallen ill with the Zika virus. However, she was quick to quell the rumors.

Earlier, Charmaine attended a promotional event looking radiant in a pale pink dress alongside her good friends Toby Leung (梁靖琪) and Janet Chow (周家蔚). Charmaine took the opportunity and clarified that she was merely under the weather due to a severe cold. She said, “I got sick while I was in Hong Kong. I was worried I wouldn’t make it to Mainland China for work. My mom took care of me and I ate congee every day. I don’t know why my cold was so serious this time. It has never happened to me before. The doctor advised that if I’m concerned, I can check myself into the hospital. I felt that resting at home was more comfortable for me though.”

Having been single for so long, did Charmaine hope to have a man by her side to take care of her while sick? Charmaine does hope to find her other half soon. When teased that she should ask Toby to introduce her to some bachelors, Charmaine said, “Toby’s friends are too young. ‘Young meat’ is more suitable for her, but not me. I hope to find someone I can communicate with. It’s not that I can’t accept an older-woman, younger-man type of relationship, but I have never tried it before. If I had a choice, I may not choose this option.” She stressed that she is not concerned about the age difference, but would simply worry that they may not communicate well due to a younger man’s higher likelihood of lacking life experiences.

On the other hand, Toby radiated with happiness and admitted that she is currently in a happy relationship with her boyfriend, Jon, whom she has been dating for a while now. Toby admitted to believing Jon to be Mr. Right. “It’s too soon. We have not talked about when to get married yet. But when you come across someone compatible, then of course there would be thoughts of marriage. We’ll let nature take its course. He is a great person and treats me very well. We like the same things, like fitness, exercising, and hiking, so we are very compatible.”
