David Siu Was Cheated to Do Softcore Porn

David Siu (邵仲衡) and Carol Yeung (楊羚) made an appearance in the latest episode of Now TV’s talk show Entertainment Judge <娛樂審死>. Chatting with host Leung Sze Ho (梁思浩), David Siu spilled many secrets during his time as a television star in the early 1990s, including juicy tidbits of his dating life.

The 51-year-old actor revealed that he dated former actress and Miss Hong Kong Chingmy Yau (邱淑貞) prior to his debut, and was also in a 10-year relationship with popular radio host and former actress Eugina Lau (劉美娟).

In 1994, David Siu filmed a category III film with Rachel Lee (李麗珍), but David said he had no idea that the film was going to be softcore porn until he arrived at the film set on the first day. He explained, “The studios invited Rachel Lee and I to collaborate in a movie for a few days. They told us that we would be doing a non-action scene, but once I opened the door to the room, I saw that [Rachel Lee] was naked. Of course, as professional actors, we continued to do what we were told to do. All the scenes I did with her were non-action scenes, but after post-production, they edited it to make it into a softcore porn.”

For years, David was rumored to be in discord with his The Greed of Man <大時代> costar Sean Lau (劉青雲). Asked if David would be willing to collaborate with the award-winning actor again, he frankly admitted, “It’s hard to say, but I want to work with those whom I haven’t collaborated with first.”

According to rumors that were circulating at the time, David and Sean never got along because they both fell for costars Amy Kwok (郭譪明) and Eugina Lau at the same time. David said, “I actually collaborated with his wife Amy Kwok before. We played husband and wife. Although we had many intimate kissing and hugging scenes, we barely interacted offscreen. I didn’t want more gossip.”

The Greed of Man, one of Hong Kong’s most popular and classic TV series, is currently rerunning on TVB channels at midnight. David, who starred on the show as Ting How Hai, said he rarely watches Hong Kong TV dramas, but he enjoyed When Heaven Burns <天與地>, Heart of Greed <溏心風暴>, and Rosy Business <巾幗梟雄>. He said, “I really don’t have the patience to finish other dramas anymore.”

  1. No wonder I found it strange to see him in it. The same thing happened to Lawrence Ng, except hardly anyone knows that David participated in such a movie whereas Lawrence Ng had a lot of publicity because the movie was popular. I think it also happened to Kenny Wong Tak Bun as well.

Anyhow, I am sad that some producers trick actors as well as actresses into doing porn, regardless of how much they pay. I think it happens to actresses as well but sadly, they seem to recover from it worse than males who have been in the same situation.

  2. David was so handsome, I used to like he hairstyle a lot back in the days… he acting was awesome, too sad he left the industry.

Back then the industry was very dark, people were getting cheated into movie they didn’t want to take part and some actress had to sleep with some boss to be in movies.
