Leo Luo Returns in “Shadow Punisher”

Reuniting with A Journey to Love‘s <一念關山> Fang Yilun (方逸倫) to film new historical suspense drama, Shadow Punisher <一念關山>, Luo Yunxi (羅雲熙) drops three striking looks for his role as a brilliant detective, winning praise as “the chosen one for costume dramas”.
Leo is Back in the Game with Two Projects
Luo Yunxi rose to fame from supporting roles in My Sunshine <何以笙簫默> and Ashes of Love <香蜜沈沈燼如霜>, later cementing his status as a leading C-drama heartthrob with hit series such as Love Is Sweet <半是蜜糖半是傷> and Till the End of the Moon <長月燼明>, co-starring Bai Lu (白鹿). He and Bai Lu captivated audiences with a heartbreaking three-lifetime love story in Till the End of the Moon, earning him 3.8 million new followers — though his subsequent projects Healing Love <治癒系戀人> with Zhang Ruonan (章若楠) and Follow Your Heart <顏心記> with Song Yi (宋軼) both fell flat due to weak storylines and a lack of chemistry between the leads, resulting in poor ratings and lukewarm reviews.
Still, Luo holds high hopes for his upcoming major fantasy historical drama Whispers of Fate <水龍吟>, whose trailer showed promising quality in fight choreography, special effects, and costumes, with over 1.5 million people already on the reservation list.
More recently, Luo returned to set, teaming up once again with Fang Yilun to shoot Shadow Punisher, a historical mystery drama helmed by The Untamed’s <陳情令> director Zheng Weiwen. Luo plays the male lead “Li Si,” also known as “Lord Qingyang”, a composed and intelligent elite agent who secretly harbors a deep vendetta tied to family tragedy and imperial conspiracy.
Also joining the cast is actress He Hongshan (何泓珊), praised for her recent performances as the vicious second sister in The Glory <雁回時> and the cousin of Song Zuer’s character in The Prisoner of Beauty <折腰>.
Three of Luo’s character looks in Shadow Punisher have been revealed: a sheer light blue robe with green bamboo embroidery to highlight the character’s aloof and refined persona; a dark detective uniform with a flowing cape and high ponytail, exuding heroic charm behind-the-scenes, and donning an opulent white robe with gold embroidery, holding a green measuring staff—befitting the noble nickname “Lord Qingyang” in official stills.
