Linda Chung and Raymond Lam in Reno for Thanksgiving Concert
Linda Chung Ka Yan and Raymond Lam Fung appeared in Reno on November 24,2010 for their press conference and to meet with their fans before their Thanksgiving Concert held on November 25,2010 in Reno. This must be a special and “sweet” scene not easily seen in Hong Kong as this long rumoured couple in romance has been the talk of the town for quite some time. The level of suspense is still stirring as Raymond continues to have other rumoured girl friends in his life! Most of the fans had great compliments of Linda being a natural beauty even with light make up on. Linda in a grayish patterned sweater simply looks pure and lovely just like “the girl next door” and Raymond with a baseball cap and glasses does look like “the boy next door” !
After their Reno concert, Raymond will be heading to Vancouver for his concert to be held in Vancouver on November 30,2010.

For those that’s obsessed with rayda y don’t h sleep with both of them??? You don’t even know their real person and you’re standing up for them!!! The truth does hurt!!! If Linda can’t sing then she can’t. Wouldn’t you think you can be better than her??? Raymond does have a good voice and looking at home nowadays he does look like the plastics. Also people paid hard earn money for those tickets and do expect a better outcome rather than unsigned albums.
So if you didn’t go to the concert please don’t stnad up for them and think they are so perfect and that their schedule is so hectic. There’s no excuse!!! If they are that bombarded with their schedule then don’t even bother having a concert. Public figures do get criticize including you that you’re nit even famous!!! Everyong can see that Linda sucks in singing. I didn’t say she’s not pretty though. She is!!!! If you went to the concert I’m sure you would expect it to be great as well. Don’t forget people even need to travel to Reno to see them!!! That’s extra money right there.
If you love rayda so much and hope that they collaborate with each other more then this is the reason why TVB is going downhill. There’s nothing new. It’s the same old “ah I wish they can be with each other forever” that’s so childish. Obvioulsy they are not dating but can’t a fan express the feeling of liking a male artists or female artists??? Wouldn’t you want either one of them if you lime them so much??? I’m sure you wouldn’t want to share your husband with someone else!!! Right??? If Raymond & Linda are dating, then what Raymond said at the press conference makes him a hypocrite. In response to the question whether they would be open about their relationships, Raymond said that he would not deny if asked at point blank, but would not purposely announce, as it is a very personal matter.
So, how many times has he openly denied dating Linda? Quite a few times, especially in the recent news (To quote “Linda and I never started, so why would we end?” in response to Ron Ng rumors). Which leads one to conclude – they are not really dating and are telling the truth when denying or being complete hypocrites and liars if they are. Either way, it’s not an easy position.
Wish HK/Chinese fans can be more open minded and accept actors regardless of their relationship status, as in the US. I think Charlene Choi and Wong Cho Lam being open is setting a good example for other artists.

Many people like the pairing Steven and Linda, and I think they paired more than Ray and linda in series. I don’t think i ever heard any person say particularly about how the steven and linda pairing are boring(or sucks). Clearly there is some hatred between the Ray and Linda pairing. If you think about it… they only paired in two series(i believe) which is moonlight resonance and heart of greed.
I’m not even a big fan of Raymond, but you gotta admit, that Linda has paired with other actors as couple, way more times than raymond + linda pairing onscreen… and there has never really been a complaint about that.

Does this show that Raymond fans are more critical of his co-star and the other actors Linda has paired with? 😛
But, Raymond fans will say that it’s not them who are critical, but, fans of other Raymond ships (I believe it is partly true).
I think why this pairing got some backlash is because of their high profile. TVB promote them as a couple because they earn higher fee when appear in shows together. The media also keep harping about this pairing. Even when Raymond and Linda keep on denying, the press still keep on asking the same question.
Linda and other co-stars are strictly within work. They don’t have rumours outside of work.
But, anyway, they might really be dating underground or have feelings for one another for all we know. Remember Andy ‘I will tell you when I get married’ Lau? 😛

Gotta agree with you. If watch Steven & Linda’s interviews or even this Dodo’s gameshow, Linda was always tongue tied when questioned by the host and often looked to Steven for help in answering the questions. Maybe Linda cannot express herself all that well in Cantonese. Steven even teased Linda (in Dodo’s gameshow) as having the making of a ‘good wife material’ because she would likely defer to her husband’s opinions in the decision-making process. lol!

Totally agree with Kidd. First of all, who knows if Raymond or Linda really dated or not? ONLY they know that… You can choose to believe what you want to or not. Many stars claim this and that. Good example is Andy Lau. How many times did he mention his current wife in public?? When did he ever admit that he was married until the truth came out?? Same with Jimmy Lin… His case was even worse!! He was caught red handed with his current wife in public and lied to his teeth many times. He even had a baby in wedlock and lied about that as well.. Therefore, you don’t know the whole truth until it finally comes out….
Well the linda and Ray case is kinda different…. maybe it’s just me… but i sense that the rumours are really not true.. whenever the media brings up the rumours to her.. linda is like to the point ‘where she doesn’t even care anymore’ and even admits the rumours are not true and so old.. kinda shows that it isnt true. Well in Andy’s case, you can kinda tell he was denying with a little “uncomfortable” when ppl asked him.. It’s like he doesn’t deny it, or admit it either (usually thats what ppl do when its actually true, not saying yes or no.. but sayiny “i’ll tell the media when it’s the right time”

IF I remember correctly, then Andy DID deny that he was married… Not only that, he even denied having a girlfriend(which we all now know is BS since he has been with her for 20+ years). What was worse was that he denied being married when he really was(everyone found that out later). That was why everyone was so mad and upset at him. IF he did not admit or deny, then I don’t think his fans would have been as upset as they were.
About whether Linda and Raymond ever dated, like I have said.. WHO really knows for sure except for them, their closest friends and family and maybe a few select others.. BUT that is it… Also, IF they did date, do you think Raymond or Linda would admit it?? I don’t think so, especially in Raymond’s case since he is currently SO popular and is the “dream guy” and “prince charming” to so many of his fans, do you honestly think he would openly admit that he dated or is currently dating anyone(Linda included)?? I don’t think so… IN fact, IF he was dating her, he may admit it years later, but not now.. Trust me, I have seen this a lot after being fans of many stars for many years. The truth does not come out until years later… As you can see with Andy’s case along with many others…

Like I have said, you can choose to believe what you like to believe. However, whether it is true or not is a different story. Time will tell as I have seen with many many cases… Therefore, don’t be shocked if 10 years down the line, Raymond does admit that he once dated Linda…

You are right, but aren’t a lot of celebs like that??? They continue to deny this and that for the time being, but years down the line when the issue is old and is bought up again, they may admit it since it is an old issue and cannot really “hurt” them anymore. I have seen that with sooo many stars time and again. Therefore, don’t be shocked if that is the case with Linda and Raymond.
Linda saying “it will never happen” is very strong… and I believe Linda is a very honest person.. even if she were to lie, she wouldnt say something like that. Not like I know her in real life… but if you’re like me who watches any interviews/things related to linda you can tell she is super honest… another example. If you watched club sparkle.. in one of the eps of a clip of linda, you would know what I mean >.> I believe many artistes are different behind cameras or is two-faced, but Linda doesn’t give me that feeling.

I came across a tabloid that said Linda had danced a dance instructor for 2 (?) years before recently splitting up.
Personally I don’t think Linda and Raymond ever dated. Although they match very well and were promoted very heavily by TVB as a couple.

Did anyone notice that during the awards ceremony, there were times when the camera caught a glimpse of Linda when Ray was interviewed on stage and on Ray when Linda was on the stage talking as well? Wonder if it’s just coincidence or are the cameramen playing up their rumors?
I noticed that too and it didn’t help both looked like shy lovers. Definitely playing up the rumours by cameraman.

I understand what you are saying and that is exactly how I feel towards them and the many other stars that I was once a fan of. However, it also depends on how you feel.. For example, if you just care about how good of an actor/actress or singer that they are then you wouldn’t care about whether they lie about their love life or any other issues at all.
However, if you are a big fan of theirs and you idolize them a lot to the point that you would care about how they are as people and how honest they are about certain issues, then it would matter to you if they are honest about their love life or not.
A good example is Jimmy Lin(Sorry to use him so much but I used to like him until he lied through his teeth). He once dated Ruby Lin way back in the 90s, but always denied it thinking that it would hurt his popularity. He continued to lie about it for many many years. However, after 10+ years, he all of a sudden admitted that he did date Ruby back then believing that the issue is now so old that it cannot hurt him anymore. He also lied about many other things to the point that I just could not stand it and stopped admiring and liking him because he is a hypocrite.But of course, if you just enjoy his singing and acting and that is all you care for, then you would not care if he lied to his teeth… But he is not the only one that did that. Andy Lau and many many others have lied about their relationships which I find stupid and disappointing because sooner or later people are going to know. What will they say or do when people do??? I can’t believe that the later generation of artists have not learned from the mistakes of the past artists.
I do hope that Raymond and Linda are sincere and honest, but who really knows except for them???
I won’t dislike my idols if they lied about their love life because I understand that in this circle, you have to, especially when you are an idol. Situation is more relax now. Fans are more accepting of their idol dating. But, in the past situation was not the same.
Lying is not hypocrite. Lying and condemning others for lying is hypocrite.
If my idol do drugs, commit crime, abuse others, hurt others for his/her own gain etc, then I might dislike them. But, lying about his/her love life? Nope. Has Jimmy hurt anyone by lying about his relationship with Ruby?
Sorry but I disagree Kidd. To not admit to anything is one thing, which means keeping mum of things is ok. But if a situation arises where the artiste in question says never but then admitted yes I did, that is lying and that is not giving due credit to your fans and yourself.That is hypocrisy, even without condemning. Not sure about Jimmy Lin but thus far all those rumoured pairs in HK circles are taking the suddenly mute/deaf stance when encountered with such a question which is ok. But if the relationship is stable, just admit it.
If Jimmy Lin did lie, no he did not hurt others, physically but his fans must feel hurt being lied to.

I totally agree with Funn Lim and very well said. In Jimmy’s case, it was not just Ruby’s case, but his recent case with his “wife” was what really hurt and angered a lot of his former fans(me included). What disgusts me more is when they are caught red handed IN PUBLIC, BUT they still lie about it even when people ask them. I also disagree that the situation is more relaxed now then it was in the past. I think it is the same if not worse. If things were more relaxed then I don’t think we would have seen that one case with that one crazy Andy fan which happened sort of recently.
Recently when I was watching Inside Edition, I still could not believe it when I saw a 4 year old cry when she saw Justin Beiver(sorry I think I spelled his name wrong)just taking pictures with girls. I also see fans going crazy when they hear of their idols getting intimate with other actresses. Geez.. Therefore, I feel that the situation is about the same if not worse in some cases. However, I still feel that you need to be honest with your fans and the public because the truth will come out sooner or later. When it does, what will you do??? DOn’t tell me that they want to lie again in order to cover up the other lie… THat is just wrong.
Just wanted to add that what made Jimmy more of a hypocrite is that he promised his fans that he would tell them if he had a girlfriend or was in a relationship, BUT he did just the opposite of that which does make him a hypocrite. It is not just him but many artists that are currently popular do that these days thinking that it will affect their popularity if they are “taken”.

I see what you are saying, but even if Raymond and Linda do date in the near future or late future, I still think that they need to be honest about it if the question arises or else it will cause an even bigger misunderstanding. If the scenario that you mentioned does happen, they also should clarify it in order to prevent future misunderstandings or else it will affect their credibility as role models and idols to the younger generation.

Can I add that if they were dating I would be the first to congratulate them because they look like a good pair although I would have preferred Linda with Steven Ma? I am quite biased since I do think Linda pairs off better with Steven Ma or Fala with Steven Ma. BUT the idea of Linda and Raymond… it is a rather delicious prospect eh?
I think he is a gentleman therefore assisted her when she is confused or shy during the interviews or meet the press. She looks up to him for help as they have known each other very well. Are they dating? I don’t know but I will not deny the strong possibility since they do meet each other often, each has a good view and opinion on the other and more importantly, a gentleman always goes well with a lady.

@HeTieShou…neither of them are my idols, but i do like Raymond as a singer. As far as Linda, i never was her fan or will be one. IMO to be an idol, you must possess a variety of good traits 1e: honesty, hard-working etc..But Honesty is probably my top criteria. But who knows if (any) artists are ever being honest nowadays
@Funn..i personally like the Charray pairing and i know that this will draw alot of criticisms. Charray probably has the most chemistry on and off-screen. Watch the behind the stage clips of the anniversary and you’ll know what i mean. And ray has aged so much that i think he starting to look mature enough for Charm^_^
