Nicky Wu Wants Kids, Will Go to Wallace Huo’s Wedding
Nicky Wu (吳奇隆) flew back to Taiwan from Beijing to record an episode of Chang Hsiao-yen’s (張小燕) talk show. The Taiwanese actor, who married his Scarlet Heart <步步驚心> costar Cecilia Liu (劉詩詩) earlier this year, shared on the show that his wife also came to Taiwan with him, and that they’ll be attending Ruby Lin (林心如) and Wallace Huo’s (霍建華) wedding at the end of the month.
On the show, Chang Hsiao-yen presented Nicky with a “pregnant-friendly” sofa, joking that sitting on the good-luck sofa could make a person pregnant. Nicky laughed along and said, “Let me try this… wait, what if I get pregnant?”
The 45-year-old actor admitted he’s always wanted kids, and his wife Cecilia also loves children. “If that’s the case, then I’ll dedicate half of my time behind the scenes, so I can go home every day.” He then proclaimed that he’s a good cook, but when Chang Hsiao-yen asked if Cecilia could cook, Nicky merely smiled. “I seriously love to cook!”
The topic of marriage was then brought up. Nicky was tight-lipped when the host asked him about the diamond ring he gave Cecilia, saying, “It is top quality of course!” Asking if he and Cecilia had fought after their marriage, Nicky honestly said, “We don’t fight easily. It’s not in our personalities to fight.” Chang Hsiao-yen then suggested, “It’s probably because you’ll just do everything she says!”
Chang Hsiao-yen and Nicky then moved their discussion to Nicky’s close fiends Wallace Huo and Ruby Lin, who dropped a surprising announcement last May that they have been dating. Asking if Nicky knew about this beforehand, he said, “I honestly had no idea. Wallace is a very low-profile person, and I also don’t like asking people about their private life, so I really didn’t know.”
Nicky said he and Cecilia will be attending Wallace and Ruby’s wedding in Bali at the end of the month. Nicky and Cecilia also got married in Bali, and Chang Hsiao-yen said she’s realized just now that Wallace was at their wedding for research. “We were fooled,” she joked.
Nicky, on the other hand, said he’s already given Wallace some wedding tips. “Island weddings are seriously really hot,” he said.

Chang Hsiao yen is really persistent to ask him questions about his marriage. But his answers are sweet. Hope ceciilia cherishes him.
I do hope that he and Cecelia will have kids since they both have the financial stability and maturity to have kids. It would be great seeing Nicky bring his kids onto reality shows since he acts like a big kid at times himself. But since dad is Taiwanese and mum is from China, how many kids are they allowed to have in China? Will they still have to abide by the One-Child Policy?
@elizabeth Yes. I hope NW & LSS will hurry up and have children. I bet their kids will be really cute. I thought China already changed the rule to two children per family. I saw something about that last year. It’s because China will be short of labor force if they don’t produce more children. I think some celebrities have more than one child and they just pay big fine for that. Please correct me if I’m wrong about this.

I heard about it too. Celebs don’t mind dishing since they have so much money but for citizens they must be ecstatic to have more than 1 kid now.
@kiki Yes. If it’s true then I’m happy for China & those families who want two children. It’s too lonely to be the only child.
