Wayne Lai Comments on Newcomers in “Come Home Love: Dinner at 8”

At the press conference for upcoming TVB drama, Come Home Love: Dinner at 8 <愛·回家之八時入席>, Wayne Lai (黎耀祥) was asked to comment on his experience working with his fellow cast members, including several newcomers.

Before discussing the newcomers, Wayne was first asked about Teresa Mo‘s (毛舜筠) alleged stern and unfriendly demeanor. He disagreed, pointing out that filming with Teresa was a fun and enjoyable process. He joked that perhaps this was because he often complimented Teresa’s appearance, thus greatly boosting her mood.

Teresa will leave the drama’s cast once her 12 months of filming is completed. Wayne hopes that the drama would receive a good response, and that this would persuade Teresa to extend her involvement in the drama. Wayne acknowledged that Teresa did have a substantially heavier role in the early parts of the drama compared to other members of the cast, and this meant that Teresa had to work especially hard.

As for whether it has been difficult working with the newcomers, Wayne did not give a direct reply but joked, “I can’t speak about them in front of the reporters!” Did the newcomers have many bad takes? Wayne said on a more serious note, “No, perhaps they are just not familiar with the filming process. But they are very obedient and also pick up things really quickly!” When asked to comment on Veronica Shiu (邵珮詩) specifically, Wayne responded that she had yet to start filming her parts.

  1. I hope this series does well. I really enjoy nice heartwarming sitcoms but they are hard to come by nowadays. And i hope thy will keep a good length so there is development but not dragging on for 1000 eps.
