Zhao Liying’s Boyfriend Helps Out During Visit to Filming Set

A sharp-eyed netizen recently spotted businessman Jeffrey Wang (王昊) visiting mainland Chinese actress Zhao Liying (趙麗穎) on the set of her upcoming drama, Legend of Chusen <青雲志>.

Rumored to be Liying’s boyfriend, Jeffrey dutifully assisted her in retrieving deliveries, ordering take-out food, and moving around stools. Although filming for Legend of Chusen lasted from morning to late evening, Jeffrey busied himself with cracking melon seeds and playing with his cell phone when not helping out Liying.

When filming for the day was completed, the alleged couple ate grilled fish together at a store opened by Liying. Afterward, they returned to a hotel in Hengdian.

Liying and Jeffrey’s relationship came to light in February, when evidence surfaced of the two vacationing in the Maldives. Further reports claimed that Jeffrey had previously been married, while other reports alleged that he and Liying had already gotten engaged. Neither party, however, has confirmed the rumors.

Currently the CEO of Meici, Jeffrey left mainland China at the age of 13 to pursue further education in the United States. He graduated from the University of Washington with degrees in Information Engineering and Mathematics. After returning to Shanghai in 2005, he made a name for himself at advertising companies Richmedia and Ogilvyone, and then turned his eye to entrepreneurship by establishing Meici, mainland China’s first e-commerce website for luxury goods.
