Kate Tsui Admits She is a Weakling

To promote their new crime drama series Tomorrow is Another Day <再戰明天>, which premiered on October 6, Lawrence Ng (吳啟華) and Kate Tsui (徐子珊) performed fast-roping and tug-of-war in front of the Correctional Services Department Staff Training Institute in Stanley.

The cast, including Tracy Chu (朱千雪) and Jacqueline Wong (黃心穎), were dressed in officer uniforms and played games with Pal Sinn (單立文), who was dressed as an inmate. Main leads Lawrence and Kate also did a fast-rope performance and climbed five stories high.

Due to his safety gear, Lawrence’s bulge was very apparent and attention-grabbing while he did his performance. Lawrence said he did not realize his wardrobe malfunction and said he did not feel embarrassed. “It’s for protection! I’m bounded in ropes. It’s like doing wire-work.”

Asked if the ropes had hurt his sensitive area, Lawrence said, “It doesn’t hurt, but when I’m filming something I would slip in an extra padding for protection.” On speaking about Lawrence moving away from his well-received doctor image, Lawrence admitted, “My previous image was sophisticated and handsome. Now, as a correctional services officer, I have to deal with many action scenes. Before I started filming, I went to the gym, swam, and jogged a lot to train my stamina. Filming went really smoothly.”

Kate expressed that she does not often do aerobic exercises. When she was asked to run a few flight of stairs, her legs felt weak. “When I heard that I would have to walk ten flights of stairs yesterday, I immediately said I’m going to bring my oxygen tank. I was already out of breath halfway in. I had to stop and take a rest.”

Asked if she noticed Lawrence’s wardrobe malfunction, Kate said, “I didn’t!” Asked if the safety ropes were uncomfortable, Kate said, “I’m sure I had it better than Lawrence!”

  1. I thought she was admitting to being a weakling in acting

  2. are people so afraid of the press these days that they will respond to such horrible questions? Can you imagine Fayfay or Wong Meng Choon or Siao Fong Fong answering such horrible questions?

    1. HK reporters seem to ask dumb and irrelevant questions, even childish. It doesn’t matter how the celebrities respond cause in the end, both the questions asked and the responses are meaningless.

  3. My family has already been destroyed by disgusting lack of journalistic integrity so actually we actually we know that there is no way to trust the press and they act with impunity when they themselves would never want a taste of their own medicine. Many of those reporters are young girls so how would they like it if someone did this to them.

    1. My family has been destroyed by the lack of journalistic integrity as well.
