Angelababy the Youngest Person to Enter China’s Charity Chart

Angelababy and her husband Huang Xiaoming (黃曉明) received worldwide attention for their 200 million RMB “wedding of the century” back in May 2015. The extravagant ceremony was not without its criticism, but that didn’t stop the couple from giving their money a purpose.

According to the 2016 Huron Charity Chart, which lists the 100 most charitable individuals in Mainland China, Angelababy and her husband made it into the list at number 87. At 27 years old, Angelababy is the youngest person to enter the chart. Angelababy and Xiaoming donated approximately 16.85 million RMB in the past year.

Angelababy and Huang Xiaoming are extremely active philanthropists and have been working with various charities over the last few years. After their wedding in 2015, Xiaoming established the “Guanai Baobei” charity organization, under Angelababy’s name, and donated most of the funds to 527 deaf children in China. In late 2015, they went to Qingdao, Xiaoming’s hometown, and helped the young and elderly. This past February, Angelababy and Xiaoming donated approximately 1 million RMB to assist with the post-earthquake relief after 2016 Tainan earthquake.

  1. I can’t stand her and her hubby as they seem to love being in the spotlight. But I appreciate their effort in giving to charity even if it may or may not be to stay in that spotlight.

  2. @happybi riiiight! i used to like hxm because he’s so good looking, but then he associated himself with angelababy and now the two of them are so high-profiled i’m a) sick of them and b) think they’re such attention-hoggers. they’re like the ones who are famous because they’re famous…’cause i can’t say i like any work they’ve been in.

but despite my misgivings about angelababy, i can get behind their charity work. good on them

  3. Kudos to her and her hubby for their charity work whether there is an ulterior motive or not. Giving is giving.

  4. well, doing charity doesn’t always to be for the greater good but to pave road for oneself for future benefits

  5. Well atleast they are doing something good for the world attention-seeking or not!

  6. Ha, even if she’s doing something positive people just need to say something bad about her along with it. Chill.

Not sure if you guys know but being a celebrity in itself is already an attention-seeking career. If you don’t get attention in this field you’ll starve.
