Edison Chen Considers Ann Hong to Be Potential Wife
Edison Chen (陳冠希) has a reputation of being a player in love as he has a promiscuous past. Edison’s former girlfriend, Vincy Yeung (楊永晴) who stood by him through out the sex photo scandal, finally dumped him after reportedly catching him cheating with another woman. After many years of playing the field, 32-year-old Edison is now looking for the right woman to settle down with.
With perfect timing, Edison met his former sales employee, Ann Hong (洪立安) at his Juice store in Taiwan earlier this year. He was immediately attracted to her as she was completely different from the women he had dated. Ann who is not interested in designer brands nor money.
Dating for 4 months, Edison is madly in love with the sweet and ordinary Ann. They were seen together everywhere. Edison, like a high school boy in love, posted the couple’s sweet dating photos on his Weibo. He even considers Ann to be his potential wife.
It was reported Edison had taken Ann to meet his parents and hoped that they would approve of her. However, his folks find 22-year-old Ann to be immature and unable to communicate with them. His girlfriend, in return, feels it is not important whether Edison’s parentsaccept her or not, and believes their relationship is only between the two of them.
Edison’s Mother Disapproves of Ann
Working hard to get his parent’s approval of his new girlfriend, Edison planned a shopping date including Ann and his mother. The three of them were seen at the IFC supermarket, but Ann did not speak to Edison’s mother at all. Ann would only smile when talking to Edison.
With his failure of getting his mother to accept Ann, Edison took his frustration out on the reporters. After finishing snacks, the three of them were ready to leave. The reporters followed them to the parking lot, enraging Edison. He turned around and yelled, “You guys are dogs!” and then tried to cover his girlfriend’s face. Edison then rushed them into the car. Then he grinned at the reporters and sarcastically wished them, “Merry Christmas!’

What do Edison’s parents expect? No sane educated woman would dare marry him knowing his history. They should accept whoever he brings through the door. Being critic of any woman he likes is laughable. Also, didn’t Edison say the same thing about about Vincy being a Potential wife? I wouldn’t take nothing he says seriously until I actually see the ring.

Edison isn’t a boyfriend or husband material. He cheated on all the other girls he dated and he’s going to cheat on this one. Not only is he a serial cheater, he treats females as toys.

Um, this sounds similar to his relationship with Vincy Yeung. I remember how Edison told people how much he loved her, how different she seemed compared to other girls, etc etc… Would he really settle down? 32 years old is not that old for a guy. I agree that no sane woman would want to be with him, probably only girls who want some fun and money.

Lol did you guys think he was actually in a committed relationship with the girls in the past? The girls were well aware that its not a relationship kind of thing he didnt break anyones hearts lol they weren’t on a serious basis with him they were just upset cause the photos were released by a criminal who illegaly stole from his laptop, thus scar their positive image and blame it on him which is ridiculous…. want someone to blame? Blame the hacker its not like EDC paraded those photos around the hacker did. and that 16 yr old? she was a model that often posed for explicit and obscene pics prior to meeting him then after her scandal with EDC she released a book….not so innocent either.
what’s the big deal so he had sex with different girls nothing illegal, the girls were well aware of what was happening no one forced them. Casual sex is what it is, nothing wrong with that it was all consensual.

He cheated on Bobo whom everyone in the entertainment knew was his girlfriend, and she was serious about the relationship. He also cheated on Gillian time and time again, and she was serious about the relationship. Charlene was very concerned when she knew Gillian was dating the jerk. He cheated on Vincy whom he claimed as the love of his life.

Gillian did mentioned that Edison cheated on her during their relationship. The only woman involved in the scandal that was there for only lust and fun was Cecilia. Yes we all know the girls willingly took the photos and enjoyed it BUT BoBo and Gillian considered their relationship with him more on a serious level while Edison use them just for fun. That why I say Edison’s parents shouldn’t be all high and mighty about any woman he brings home instead just be happy he is bringing a woman for them to meet at all.
I agree that him and Gillain was serious since Edison did bring Gillain to meet his parents she met mentioned she met his father when they wee together which means he was serious about the relationship as for him and BoBo I don’t think it was really serious since they weren’t together for that long
