Sarah Song and Jason Chan Expecting Second Child in September

The couple kept their eldest child indoors for six months as he refused to wear a mask.

Appearing at the 29th Hong Kong Drama Awards Presentation Ceremony as a special guest, former TVB actor, 42-year-old Jason Chan (陳智燊) revealed that he would be welcoming his second child with his wife Sarah Song (宋熙年) come September.

Guilty About Confining His Toddler at Home for Six Months

Although Damon will turn two years old when the baby arrives, Jason and Sarah are not sure if he would become jealous then. Asked if he has started shopping for necessities for the baby, Jason revealed that they have already prepared their hospital bag. He hopes the pandemic would become less severe and that hoarding of rice, toilet paper and other daily necessities would not occur again.

Since the start of the COVID-19 outbreak in January, Jason kept Damon home as his son refused to put on a mask. It was only recently that Damon ventured outdoors. Jason said, “Because he refused to wear a mask, so we could only stay home, but earlier when I carried him onto the car, I felt so guilty.”

Leaving TVB two years ago, Jason and Sarah have become successful YouTubers with greater income levels than before. When asked to comment on actor Auston Lam‘s (林師傑), who had revealed that his meager salary at TVB of a mere $12,000 Hong Kong dollars forced him to leave, Jason said, “The basic salary is not only that, but I believe he would have a greater leeway for development beyond the station.”
