Directed by Hong Kong female director Barbara Wong (黃真真), the romantic drama film The Stolen Years<被偷走的那五年> is set to have its world premiere in mainland China on August 22, 2013. The film stars mainland Chinese actress Bai Baihe (白百何) as an amnesiac patient who is trying to figure out how she and her husband, portrayed by award-winning Taiwanese actor Joseph Chang (張孝全), ended up in divorce after five years of marriage.

“Quietly Telling You” <悄悄告訴你>, written and performed by Taiwanese singer Christine Fan (范瑋琪), is confirmed to be the film’s theme song. Christine will also have a small part in the film as Baihe’s best friend.

The single is Christine’s first song of 2013 and her first music effort since releasing her eleventh album, Together, in May 2012. After getting an exclusive early screening of The Stolen Years, Christine used an entire afternoon to write the melody of “Quietly Telling You.”

Christine expressed that the song, like in the film, sends a message that though there will be times of hardships and struggles, happy memories should not be forgotten, and it is these memories that support our struggles through the future.
