Andy Lau Back to Work for “Shock Wave 2”
The cast of Shock Wave 2 <拆彈專家2> battled the humid heat with their bomb disposing gear for the upcoming film, an unrelated sequel to the 2017 blockbuster film of the same name. Featuring the return of Andy Lau (劉德華) and Ron Ng (吳卓羲) with new cast members Sean Lau (劉青雲) and Kenny Wong (黃德斌), Shock Wave 2 tells the story of a formal bomb disposal officer who becomes a top suspect for a terrorist attack.
The Shock Wave 2 cast recently shot an outdoor action scene East Tsim Sha Tsui centering on Andy’s character attempting to prevent a grenade from exploding. Wearing full on gear against the 30C heat, Andy’s stunt double was first seen doing the scene, followed by Andy doing a few close-up shots. Despite the heat and the heavy gear, Andy was in good spirits. Sean Lau, Ron Ng, and Kenny Wong were also at the scene.
Shock Wave 2 is Andy’s second major film role after recovering from his fall injury in early 2017. Principal photography began in March 2019. Directed by Herman Yau (邱禮濤), the film is also produced by Andy.

the first one was amazingly good with all the thrill. it was a well made movie. i can it that it’d appeal to a wide range of audience had they marketed internationally.
