Annie Liu, Jacqueline Wong Film Bath Scene in “Deep in the Realm of Conscience”
Filming Deep in the Realm of Conscience <宮心計2深宮計>, Annie Liu (劉心悠) and Jacqueline Wong (黃心穎) bared their shoulders in a group bath scene.
The prequel, In the Realm of Conscience <宮心計> drew in a viewership rating of 50-points and broke records in 2009. Returning as the producer, Mui Siu Ching‘s (梅小青) hopes to recreate the momentum by featuring a large female cast.
In a recent scene, Annie, Jacqueline, and several other actresses who play the imperial servants, were filming a light-hearted bath scene. Annie and Jacqueline, who play best friends in the series, were splashing each other with water.
Praising the beautiful scenery, Jacqueline said this was like taking a relaxing dip in a Japanese hot spring. Jacqueline expressed, “The water was warm, and it smelled good – it felt really nice. The lighting on the set made everything look beautiful. At first, I thought it would just be using an ordinary wooden tub for this! Turns out, this was being filmed outdoors with beautiful scenery.”
Having worked all night long for the bath scene, Annie said she was grateful the crew was so attentive, providing her with hot water and dry towels. Annie laughed, “I didn’t think the backdrop would be this nice, it’s like going on a vacation and was very relaxing. There was even bath salt and rose petals in the water. Filming this was very fun.”
