Are Jolin Tsai and Eddie Peng Back Together?

Besides a massively successful music career, Jolin Tsai’s (蔡依林)  love life has also been equally colorful. Other than her highly speculated romance with Jay Chou (周杰倫), Jolin has also been linked to Eddie Peng (彭于晏).

In 2006, it was rumored that Jolin and Eddie were dating. Despite having been spotted together on several occasions, the duo never confirmed their relationship. The relationship lasted roughly three years before the couple split in 2009. At the time, it was rumored the relationship could not withstand pressure from Eddie’s management agency, who strongly opposed the relationship. Eddie’s mother was allegedly not supportive of the relationship either, as she was not keen on Jolin’s provocative stage performances.

Recently, Jolin has been hotly searched on the Internet due to her upcoming album release. Rumors began circulating that she had rekindled her romance with Eddie. Curious netizens began digging deep and found a photo that Jolin posted on the eve of Valentine’s Day in 2019 where she had a rose tucked behind her ear. With the hashtag “my love” accompanying the photo, the setting of the photo was at a prestigious restaurant that required inner circle connections to make reservations. Coincidentally, Eddie also posted a photo of himself at the exclusive restaurant just two days prior to Jolin’s post.

When questioned by the media about her relationship status, Jolin laughed and coyly responded, “Even if I have one, I won’t tell. Okay?” Her refusal to respond directly led many to believe that she is in a relationship, though it is uncertain whether Eddie is now back in her life.
