Coming Back: Andy Lau Does Post-Production Work for New Film

After taking 176 days of rest, Andy Lau (劉德華) returned to the studio chair to do some post-production voice work for his upcoming film, The Adventurers <俠盜聯盟>. The Hong Kong action film, directed by Stephen Fung (馮德倫) and costarring Shu Qi (舒淇), Zhang Jingchu (張靜初), and Tony Yang (楊祐寧) alongside Andy, the action-packed adventure film will shoot into cinemas on August 11, 2017.

Earlier this January, Andy suffered a serious injury on his lower back after he was thrown off a horse during a commercial shoot in Thailand. His doctors at the time recommended him to take at least nine months off to fully recover. Andy spent 53 days in a hospital.

The actor has been consistently updating his fans on his condition through his blog. A few days ago, the 55-year-old told fans that he is slowly making his way back to work mode by doing some voiceover work for his new film. He shared several photos: one of him working in the studio, and another showing the time of day.

“Doing voiceover [work] for The Adventurers… thinking about you guys! How are you? If you are well, then I am relieved! See you in [our] dreams.”

Meanwhile, Andy and his team are planning his comeback concert tour, which he plans to hold next year.
