First Christmas With Kevin Cheng? Grace Chan: “I’ll Bake Cookies”
TVB actress Grace Chan (陳凱琳) attended an outdoor Christmas event recently. The 24-year-old former Miss Hong Kong said she is looking forward to Christmas, as it is one of her favorite holidays of the year.
This Christmas will be her first Christmas holiday with boyfriend Kevin Cheng (鄭嘉穎). Asking Grace if she will be celebrating it with Kevin, Grace said she is not sure if she has work that day. She hasn’t thought about how to celebrate the holiday either.
In regards to Christmas presents, Grace expressed that she is taking time to prepare Kevin’s present, as she wants to give him a more thoughtful gift. Will Grace think about cooking a large Christmas meal for Kevin? She said, “If I can, I’ll bake some cookies. It’s hard to cook a big meal by myself. It would be better to have a larger group of people cooking a dish each.”
Grace shared that she once made dumplings for Kevin, who was very pleased with them. She added that she wants to bake cookies for Kevin too, but she does not have an oven at home. Would Grace bake more if someone gave her an oven for Christmas? She laughed, “That would just stress me out even more, because I’ll always be thinking about what to bake next.”
She pointed out that Kevin does know how to cook. The reporters suggested that she should give him a rice cooker for Christmas. Grace said, “I’m sure every family has a rice cooker at home.”
Grace currently has two TVB dramas awaiting for release in 2016—Blue Veins <殭> and Brother’s Keeper II <巨輪II>. Sisley Choi (蔡思貝), who debuted in the same year as Grace, has three dramas ready for next year. Asking if Grace is worried that she is at a disadvantage, she said, “Of course not. The dramas that I am part of have pretty high standards too, and I believe people will like them.”

the reporters have nothing to report on grace HERSELF?
Simple. She has nothing for the reporters to ask other than her famous bf. I notice that she likes to mention about her mother or father and even her brother too when approached by reporters.
Since Grace and Sisley’s debut, even though Sisley has been in 1/2 more dramas than Grace, Grace has been casted in the bigger production dramas which has had/will be having a lot of media attention, so really, Grace has better advantage over Sisley.
Also, it’s a shame that all the media ever wants to talk about with Grace is Kevin, it’s like she’s lost her identity now she’s with him.

I thought hong kong female celebrities are very independent.
@janet72 Not for her. Don’t think she is independent compare with other Hong Kong celebrities. Look at the way she talked. Always bring out her family members including her lover. She sounds like her daddy’s girl. No one can bully her.

It helps a lot in explaining why would she go for someone who is a generation older as a bf. She was looking for another father figure.
HK female celebrities are so independent and hardly do you hear them mentioning their other halves…but grace chan lacks that…she is constantly reminding people her boyfriend is Kevin Cheng, ‘in case you don’t know’.

But it’s the reporter that is asking grace about Kevin and not grace coming out with all those herself. Maybe she is just more open about relationship and families matter… But it’s true that reporters always interview her about her relationship matters and about Kevin rather than about herself and her work…hmmm it’s quite a disadvantage for her too. Yes,she gets some fame from Kevin but in the end she will just be know as Kevin’s Girlfriend and not herself.
When reporters ask about her Kevin, like other experienced celebrities, she can just ask the reporters to focus more on her works and not her relationship but it’s the other way round. She kept talking about her lover of what she and he did for each other instead of talking about her job. She seems to enjoy bragging about her romance. She doesn’t have to waste her time actually to continue with her acting career. Just get married, make babies like Aimee Chan, for their hubbies.

since she is head over heels with kevin cheng, just get married and be Mrs Cheng…sick of her gushing about her love life. honestly, what’s there to brag? kevin cheng is not a top tier actor. get married, have babies and wish her happily ever after as Mrs Cheng.
IF she doesn’t want to be hiding in Kevin’s shadow, get a life. work on how to improve her acting skills.

@celin I think she’s just a frank person. She answered reporters honestly and frankly. She has not been in the industry long enough to learn to be invasive. Give her a few years in the industry and you will get the ‘please focus more on my works’ answer.
Few years. to improve but can she wait since she is so in love now. She may be someone’s wife in the coming one two years and bearing few kids by then. Mayb get pregnant accidentally like Aimee Chan,
just plain and simple….using Kevin C for fame. She can’t act, just step down and let someone else with real talents to do the job.
