Lawrence Ng’s Divorce Due to Jacqueline Wong?

Lawrence Ng (吳啓華) announced his imminent divorce with his second wife, Shi Yangzi (石洋子), after a seven-year marriage. Although previous news reported that it was Shi Yangzi’s involvement with another man that caused the rift between the couple, recent rumors instead claim that Lawrence has been romantically involved with 2012 Miss Hong Kong first runner-up, Jacqueline Wong (黃心穎).

The two recently collaborated in the currently-airing Tomorrow is Another Day (再戰明天) as siblings. Lawrence was exceptionally attentive towards 25-year-old Jacqueline on set and often praised his younger colleague.

Jacqueline laughed at the reports and adamantly denied the rumors, “We do not contact each other outside of work. He portrays my elder brother in the series, so we are more familiar with each other as a result.” Jacqueline further stressed that she is not interested in being romantically involved with a married man.

After announcing his divorce intentions, Lawrence was spotted taking his daughter out shopping. “Shi Yangzi and I have been separated for quite some time. We’ve tried to make the marriage work, but to no avail. We split amicably and there is no third party involved.”

Lawrence also expressed that the ex-couple intends to raise their daughter together in order to provide her with a healthy and happy childhood regardless of their divorce.

  1. I feel bad for their daughter. No kids deserve to suffer this. I know that feeling too well.

    1. But if they were my parents I’d rather them divorce and find someone they actually want to live with for the rest of their lives than “me” being an excuse for them to be together.

The daughter will be fine if both parents take responsibility of their child. Just because parents being together doesn’t mean the child will be benefitted.

    1. Why are people so mean? Jacqueline plays his sister in present drama…she is even younger than his 29 year old wife. Give him a break.

  2. Feel sorry for Lawrence Ng …… both marriages did not seem to work for him.

  3. Lawrence doesn’t seem to have much luck when it comes to his love life.

The rumors of of these two doesn’t sound true. Really can’t see them together due to the generation gap. Lawrence is twice her age.

  4. this rumour is just pathetic and downright madeup. Jacqueline to be the cause of their divorce ???… I can’t even imagine lol. To be attentive and praise newcomers is nothing, afterall he is considered a ‘veteran’ actor in comparison to Jacqueline who is a newcomer, don’t see what’s wrong with helping new artists. Looks like magazines are trying to add more salt and vinegar to their stories to make it more “interesting”…

I just feel for their daughter. It’s a pity that their marriage has to end, and if it truly has nothing to do with any third parties than it’s no ones fault or no one to blame for the divorce. Saw his daughter in one of the oncall2 dinner interviews when he brought her along, she seems very cute and bubbly. Hope she pulls through this and knows both her parent care about her.

  5. I dont know if his born year casted a spell on him or not but I noticed that 3/8 HK artists born in 1964 got married twice.

  6. i know who Jacqueline is in Vancouver — doubt this is anywhere even 10% true. She’s very close to her sisters and parents – they wouldn’t allow it.

  7. nah, i doubt Jacqueline wld be interested in him. Age gap aside, he’s got no looks and probably not that much dough to be attractive enough for her.

  8. Feel sad for Lawrence…2 marriages don’t last. He is not young anymore. Hope he finds love in the right place.

    1. it not about love at this stage. it’s about living a life of commitment and moral rigteous. if you think you can just divorce a person because you no longer in love then i’m sure you would be divorce many times. Don’t call me old school but people back then and 50 years ago, they actually committed. they stayed together no matter what. Today society degenerates, eff the kids, eff other happiness. my happiness is put in front others mentality. Nobody observes morals anymore. sad world we living now

    1. Jealous? This guy rose back to prominence after starring in category III films. He has played bad and good characters, pretty much a professional actor and he got his breakthrough with Healing Hands. Girls dig him for more than just his face and there are some who actually find his “mug” handsome. Wait till you are his age and we will see whether your “mug” will get you anywhere.

    2. I think the game plan is that when we get to be his age we won’t need our mugs to get us anywhere!

  9. So this doesn’t sound very true. And maybe he was attentive to her like a mentor type relationship. He’s a veteran with experience and just teaching her why he knows

  10. I don’t believe this news at all! Stop accusing anyone for their broken marriage.

  11. Though Lawrence isn’t a bad guy, I hope the rumors are not true… Jacqueline Wong is a elegant and sophisticated woman, something you hardly get in this world nowadays…. Her aura radiates man, not every women can do that it comes from the inside..

  12. I believe the narriage may be on rocks a while and this rumour is only push by taboids

  13. to be able to rise up after acting in category 3 films is not easy. Lawrence has acted in both good and bad roles but he is definitely remembered as Paul Ching in Healing Hands…I’ve been crazy over him for a long time.

    1. Is that a pun on the word “rise up”? Man, i didn’t know a mug like that can drive women crazy. Truly, a miracle is born each day.
