Li Yundi Had Paid for Sex Multiple Times

After the police detained pianist Li Yundi (李雲迪) for procuring sexual services, it was revealed the 39-year-old had done so multiple times. Details of how the police discovered his involvement was also leaked.

Earlier, Beijing’s Chaoyang police district had investigated a prostitution establishment and detained a 29-year-old female sex worker with the surname Chen. Through her cell phone, the police were able to track her clients, which included Li Yundi. They found multiple WeChat transaction records between the two, and Li Yundi had used his real name when transferring payments of 10,000 Chinese yuan each time.

On October 21, the police intercepted Li Yundi when he flew into Beijing and detained him. As part of authorities’ crackdown on illegal and unethical activities within the Chinese entertainment industry, the police released Li Yundi’s name on its official Weibo account and the state media widely reported the scandal.

Following the incident, netizens began searching for more details related to the scandal and found photos of the female sex worker involved. The 29-year-old is described to be around 5 feet 6 inches tall with exquisite features, and a slender figure. The two have been reported to have a close relationship given that they have had multiple transactions. Given that she kept his identity a secret, Li Yundi placed a lot of trust in her.

Insiders revealed that Li Yundi had a very strict family, and he was often referred to as a model student. However, it was speculated that he felt repressed due to his upbringing. Li Yundi found fame early in life and was recognized internationally for his piano skills when he was only 18 years old, which caused him to succumb to temptation. He enjoyed meeting up with women, which became an open secret in the music industry.

  1. I don’t know much about him and don’t agree with her profession or his action. However…….
If he is not married or attached, he didn’t mislead her into believing that they were dating, he didn’t use her then dump her, he didn’t force his attention on her or drug her or make her drunk, she isn’t underage, if she isn’t forced into this profession, he didn’t purchase her service then refuse to pay up later, if he doesn’t have transmissible diseases, is there any major difference other than money for him to meet a stranger in a party or a pub then both willingly have one-night stand together, or later become acquaintances with benefits?
What about those wealthy married men with their actresses/models girlfriends where the money comes in the form of “gifts” like expensive apartments, luxury cars, expensive jewellery and limit editions bags ? Wouldn’t that be more condemnable on both parties?

    1. @BearBear yeah basically it’s no diff than sugar daddy/baby relationships, except this is through a one-time transaction fee. In any case, both parties gain something from it, but I can’t determine that this profession is good on a woman’s psyche. Ex-$trippers and escorts say they can’t view regular relationships/themselves the same anymore because their mentality towards intimacy or their bodies is now skewed and they don’t want to give anything “free.” Ppl say at least he paid, but level of self-respect for him is probably at an all time low.

      1. Felt it is hypocritical that soliciting such service is such a hoo-ha when sugar daddy/mommy seems more acceptable.
Some of those in this profession may have an abused childhood or unfortunate turn of events leading them to this but there are those who seem to be in it because of easy money.

      2. Lol, I’m with @bearbear, sugar daddy is way worse (because it generates involve someone really young with someone really old, and also a lot of the time, it’s the misconception that the guy wants to be with you for a long haul). Whereas paid for sex service is a lot more straightforward, no one is misleading anyone, and they both knew what they were getting into. Also a lot of these sex workers aren’t fake like those “gentle-ladies”.

      3. To me, sugar daddy relationship is way worse. As it tends to involves someone so much younger with someone so much older. And a lot of time (if not 99% of the time), the guy mislead the girl that he’s in for a long haul. Whereas paying for this kind of service is more straightforward, there is no emotional manipulation, both parties know what they have sign up for. Plus these girls are less fake than those nice “proper” girls.
And I’m with @bearbear here, he doesn’t do anything big and immoral enough to be hated so much.

      4. @LittleFish really? I think in comparison to multiple random $ex partners on the daily, having a sugar daddy at least guarantees a long term stable $exual partner who also provides. Sugar babies just need to cater to a few rather than the mass of random strangers. It’s safer and better IMO.

      5. No, not really. You assumed it’s safer for the girl, because she sleeps with 1 guy, but that guy always tend to have multiple partners. So not as safe as you think. Also high class service is a lot safer than you think, and possibly more than sleazy sugar daddy lol. Also if the sugar babies have multiple daddies, than she’s practically a w@&$“ lol. Also you don’t know whether they use protection or not, so who’s to say which is safer. I think it’s worse because of the emotional manipulation, there were only a few cases where they actually manage to acquire a husband, a lot of time, they wasted 10yrs of their youth for nothing

      6. @LittleFish well I think anyone who has the means to be a sugar daddy also has the means to vet for his sugar babies to ensure safety of their bodies. and vice versa for sugar babies who may make it a prerequisite to have that safety check in place vs a prostitute/escort who doesn’t have the power to request those things. In addition, emotional manipulation is only true for those who don’t understand they’re signing up for a sugar baby/daddy relationship, which are often temporary until one party decides to call it quits/they find better opportunities. I don’t think any sugar baby actually anticipates getting married to their sugar daddies. The premise of this kind of relationship is that the older man provides a constant feed of $ in exchange for $ex and companionship. It’s supposed to be a longer lasting thing and not short term services like escorts.

      7. @littlefish maybe they are expecting an established pianist to be a faithful adoring husband/boyfriend or if he is neither married or attached, to remain “untouched”.

      8. @Coralie @LittleFish no idea if having a sugar parent or a regular customer is safer. Even if the customer is safe from disease, he or she may still like to be…. adventurous in the bedroom. Recall reading or watching a clip where it was mentioned of an incident years ago involving a famous actress ended up in the hospital after spending the night with a married tycoon.
Anyway, would think that the female in one-time transaction is unlikely to see herself as the real-life “Pretty Woman”.

    2. Agree with you. He didn’t cheat, steal, rape or use his power/influence to sleep with women. He paid for a service fair and square and quite expensively too. He is single and unattached. His way is better than a lot of other celebs who used their influence to prey on innocent girls/female subordinates, or cheat on their spouse/partner. It will be irresponsible of him if he dates a girl just for going to bed.
Compare to the likes of Kris Wu and Qian Feng, he really did not do very bad things. His punishment is way too harsh.

      1. No doubt if it’s an illegal activity then he ought to be given the right punishment through law. However, like you have mentioned, people are KW and QF are so much more despicable and sick.
And there are those wealthy married businessmen with their mistresses. If the men were poor or unable to provide financial gains to the females, would those females be willing to become their mistresses.
Not trying to defend his actions but both parties are old enough and willingly enter such transaction without emotionally attached.

  2. He used his real name to pay for the transactions..hhmmm…maybe not the best idea. I read on another site that she was just the middle person for his transaction for a male worker. Not sure how true that is.

    1. 100% not true. No offend but I would not trust c-netizens, they are known for adding fuel to the fire with fake news in order to tarnish ppl’s reputation more, because they don’t think it was enough.

  3. Yes, no difference than those sugar/daddy or live in mistress relationships but the only difference is prostitution is illegal in China and money transactions are involved with solid proof no matter what kind of reasoning you are still breaking the law. But I think they say nothing will happen to him besides paying a fine and of course losing his image and probably will not be popular in China anymore but he can still go overseas for his music. People are saying he’s so rich, good looking ( I didn’t get the good looking part lol ) and many other great qualities why in need of a woman this way? Who really knows besides himself? He could have gone to any other country where it’s totally legal and it’s not like he can’t afford them and do whatever he wants and nobody would care but China? Actually, China wouldn’t care either if he’s not a celeb or a public figure but also using his real name? You have to hand it to him, he is over confident or what. I still remember the way vaguely how those crazy fans put him and WLH into a male male CP? So weird and some people are right this is certainly an extreme way to proof himself he is indeed NOT gay?

  4. Well, he clearly does not want to be in any romantic relationships.. he rather pay for his needs. She is not young teenage…their business relationship are mutually agreed. I dont even read about him have multiple girlfriends he sleeps with and leave…
