Michael Miu’s Rumors with Actress Made Jamie Chik Burst into Tears?
After claiming a romantic relationship with Director, Stanley Tong Kwai Lai, porn star, Leni Lan Yan released additional intimate photos taken with male celebrities. Leni claimed that Jay Chou Kit Lun called her four times within one day, trying to pursue her at one point. Allegedly, Huang Xiao Ming tried to touch her arms and thighs while pretending to be drunk at a karaoke bar. In the latest tabloid photos, Leni can be seen in intimate embraces with Eric Tsang Chi Wai, Michael Miu Kiu Wai, and Felix Wong Yat Wah.
Since the release of his intimate photo with Leni, Michael Miu clarified rumors and said that he was not familiar with the person in the photo. Despite this, recent tabloids published photos of Michael’s wife, Jamie Chik Mei Chun, bursting into tears at a bar.
Meeting a friend at a bar in Lan Kwai Fong, Jamie was spotted smoking five cigarettes within an hour. Throughout the conversation with her friend, Jamie burst into tears twice. Jamie’s friend repeatedly consoled her. What could have led to Jamie’s saddened outburst at the bar?

Jayne: I’m sure some male celebrities truly flirt everywhere they go, hoping for a quick one-night stand. In a telling interview on “Be My Guest,” Anita Yuen told Stephen Chan that she knew of many actors who had a “good reputation” who had affairs while they were filming in China . She was very emphatic that no matter how “good” the man appeared to be, many cheated. Anita even said that if Chilam were to cheat on her, she preferred not to know about it. Also, she emphasized that he must use a condom if he did sleep with other women. Stephen Chan’s eyes bugged out at this point and said that Anita was very “open” (referring to her tolerance of her husband’s infidelity in theory).
Now her statement about Chilam’s infidelity in theory does not mean that he did in fact cheat on her.
I was shocked by Anita’s statement about Chilam using a condom if engaging in sex with other women…it was very blunt, but it also brought to light a reality that many male celebrities will have casual affairs while separated from their wives/ girlfriends. Examples that come to mind include Aaron Kwok (while having a concert in Australia ) and Frankie Lam’s affair with Vicki Dong in 2009.
I am sure there are many starlets who are willing to sleep with more famous male celebrities. There is a very exciting kink to sleeping with a famous person, sort of like a confidence/ ego booster to one-self. Or while filming in a remote location, lonely co-stars will have sexual relations, sometimes without any strings attached and the relationship will probably terminate when the film project ends.
Leni’s recent claims about ties with male stars lead me to question the existence of less-famous actresses who may have casual sex with more famous actors. Many actresses will not go to the tabloids and tell-all, but China and Hong Kong ’s “closet culture” about sex seems to be changing.
Leni was quite insistent about having a relationship with Stanley Tong. Aside from Jay Chou’s photo, the other men, including Michael and Felix seem to have a close embrace with Leni.
All these thoughts about temptation, infidelity, and how trust towards a loved one can be betrayed are disturbing….
what are these women thinking, throwing themselves to me. gotta blame the men but the women involved aren’t any better.

Michael can’t say he doesn’t know her, the picture speaks otherwise. But a sexual affair? I find this Leni seems to be throwing around names a lot, probably wants fame by association. Maybe some are true, but all I doubt it. I think she is a shady person. Whilst I believe some stars do have affairs but to say it is a norm I would not believe that.
Anyway Pandamao, it takes 2 to tango. If a man is strong to resist and his character is examplary, however many women throw themselves at him would have been a waste of time. As for what Anita said, which could be just a hypothetical situation (did she really say he had affairs or rather what IF he has affairs?) yes strong person but doesn’t she deserve better than this piece of cheating bastard? His wife once stated that he likes to flirt a lot with women of all ages, but is sure he is faithful to her. Initially, I felt sorry for Leni. Earlier news said she was tricked by a reporter to reveal her relationship with Stanley. But, now, she’s cashing in on the 15 mins of fame.

I disagree that it means she has resigned to accept Chilam’s cheating or believe Chilam is cheating. It’s like what Funn said, hypothetical situation. Funn, she did not say he has an affair. She just said if Chilam is cheating. Try look for the interview. It’s very interesting and Anita is very frank about everything. She even admitted to having an affair with a married man before she go steady with Chilam. They both broke up with their respective partner to be together.
I’m definitely shocked by Anita’s attitude as I really thought she was stronger than this. While, she did not reveal whether Chilam did cheat or not – she did reveal that she would accept it if he did. That’s like telling your husband it’s okay. But to me it’s completely unacceptable.
I’m also shocked about Frankie – is this confirmed news? I always just thought it was rumours since Frankle and Kenix seemed stronger afterwards and now have a child together.
It has got to be a cultural thing, that these women, regardless of how successful they are themselves are willing to accept this kind of betrayal. I’m sure there are many temptations in the entertainment industry, but there are temptations anywhere. I guess, equality is still far, far away in Asian countries.
Of course, since Anita admitted to being the third party in someone else’s marriage, it’s no wonder that she so lenient with any potential cheating from Chilam.
As for this Leni person.. I think she’s disgusting. It seems rather clear to me from her collection of pictures with famous men, that she has been targeting them and is now milking her 15 minutes of fame. Can anyone by the confirm that her pictures are authentic? They look like something anyone could do with a little photoshop-knowledge.
everyone have to get the facts straight, i watch the interview between Anita and Stephen. She didnt say Chilam cheated on her. She said that is a common thing to see actors/actresses having affair. IF her husband does have one,he better have safe sex and make sure she doesnt knows about it.

I like the marriage relationship between Anita and Chilam. They are so open to one another and can talk about everything. I don’t think she believes Chilam is cheating, or he’s probably cheating or will continue cheating etc. She won’t have married him if she think he will cheat from the start. She just doesn’t put a ‘no turning back’ clause in it. I don’t know how to say it. It’s like, she didn’t go absolutely, completely, ‘no buts’ on this issue, but, neither is she resigning to a sad life with a cheating husband like some of you made it out to be.

The fact that she says she doesn’t want to know about it IF it happened, already says a lot about her attitude towards it. She would rather live in the dark/denial then face reality and do something about. That is completely unacceptable to me. I would want to know about it and I wouldn’t accept it.
If the above pictures are this girl’s evidence of her affairs, then I’m not going to take a face value. The pictures look like any fan-taken pictures, not to mention the fact that they could just as easily be photoshopped. As Kidd pointed out, Anita once had an affair with a married man. Perhaps she has an insight about infidelity in a marriage that women who were never in this situation don’t have. Did the married man’s wife know that he cheated? Probably. But like some women, she probably didn’t divorce her husband.
In theory, we would never want our husbands to cheat nor give them a message that it’s okay to cheat. But if it happens, does it mean we are willing to divorce our husbands? Yes, cheating is a betrayal of our trust and challenges the comittment that a married couple made to each other. But does that mean we are ready to throw away XXX years of the relationship?
After the initial anger is over, I believe there is room for forgiveness in a relationship, as long as there is mutual love and the cheating partner truly make amends. This is what I thin happened between Kenix and Frankie. Advo, there were taped cell phone conversations between Frankie and Kenix’s manager discussing the cheating (you can search my old archives for the article). Frankie and Kenix held a press conference afterwards and did not truly deny Frankie’s affair. I think in their case, they made amends and having a child together signals their intention to work out the marriage in the long term.
There is also a distinction between one-time cheating and repeat cheating. One-time cheating (as in one affair) may be due to an unhappy partner in the marriage. Everyone has temptations but to act upon it in a marriage may be a signal of deeper problems between both partners. Sometimes a partner cheats to purposely hurt the other, to seek a solace from an unhappy marriage etc.
There could be so many reasons why people cheat in a relationship. I know of people on both ends of the spectrum, a friend who had an affair with a married man and also a man whose wife cheated on him and then he cheated on her. But in both cases, the married couple did not get divorced. It is a very hard thing to walk away from a marriage, to walk away from the good parts of a relationship and the familiarity that our partner brings. And perhaps women possess this tendency more and forgive their cheating husbands.
This Leni girl is using these pics to leverage her fame that she got from the Stanley Tong incident. If she did have affairs or one night stands with all or any of these men, it is not a surprise. There are just too many temptations in the entertainment industry-but it goes both ways-men will have affairs with less famous actresses that “throw” themselves at them, and women will sleep with directors or rich men. All this for either pleasure, money, or fame.
Anita has always been a blunt person, so what she said is not that Chilam necessarily cheated on her, but if he did, she better not know about it. I’m sure she has been in the industry long enough to know that this is so common. I think she herself had an affair with a rich man in the past and was taken care of, didn’t she? I’m sure each celebrity has their own share of flaws, and when they marry each other, they have to accept each other’s past as well and have the understanding and trust in one another in order for the marriage to last.
Pandamao, I tend to be introspective about many things in life. Although not always the intention, tabloid headlines can somtimes strike a deep chord as I try to think of the ramifications or deeper meaning of an incident. Perhaps it’s because I care about the artists as people and not just as entertainers. I am glad you enjoy reading my opinions as much as I enjoy reading everyone’s comments.

You guys have to remember that this is the entertainment circle, so of course temptation is even more likely to happen for anyone. I am not saying that it is ok, but is more understandable. You are constantly surrounded by attractive people with status, fame and fortune so of course it is very hard to not get tempted at all.
Even normal citizens cheat so how can celebrities avoid it?? Also, we don’t know what happens behind the closed doors. In front of the camera and public, they can seem like nice and sweet people but behind the camera, who really knows?? Some even claim to still be virgins, but who really believes that??? Basically, we just know these celebrities as public figures for the most part so how they are behind the scenes is still a big question mark….
About Anita’s comment, I am a bit shocked as well but can understand it. I would not say that I am disappointed with her attitude at all because I think she knows that it is hard to resist temptation in the circle. I don’t think she is implying that it is ok, but she would understand it if Chilam did cheat on her. I actually sort of admire her if she can really forgive him if he really did because not everyone can forgive their spouse for cheating.
I also want to add that I am not saying that it is ok to cheat on your spouse. I find that sad because I think that if you are married it shows that you are committed to one person and one person only. If you cannot make that commitment, then you should not get married at all. However, things and people change with time which is why a lot of people divorce down the road..

I must say that this is a very interesting topic but at the same time very real. This happens anywhere to anyone whether you are an artist or not. I do admire Anita for her bluntness and being able to voice what she thinks. I think whatever she is stating is just the fact and her preference, does not mean that she is condoning the behavior if Chilam was to cheat. On the hand, I would rather know then live in the dark and be the fool. Not sure if a divorce will happen because it depends on why the affair occur in the first place, it could easily be the wife’s fault, where she neglects her husband etc… So every situation is different. There’s no black and white in a situation and human is complex, relationship is complex.
On Kenix and Frankie, both have experienced temptation before, so, I think they cherish the relationship more and can be more understanding. In an interview, Kenix said that when she and Frankie were still dating, she was also attracted to someone else and was of 2 hearts and Frankie knew (he can sense it), but, he kept quiet about it. So, I think their relationship went through a lot and they decided to stick together to work it out because I guess the good >> the bad.

I don’t know Miu in real life but he always give me an impression that he’s a good husband and father who loves his family, BUT at the same time a flirty guy. One has to admit that although his acting skills are mediocre, he got the looks and charm. This is only my impression, don’t take this as a fact.

Listening to Anita’s interview again. I find her approach to relationship is very practical. I think she’s very wise in handling her relationship with Chilam. I think she has seen enough to know that nothing is guarantee. So, she has thought of many ‘what if’ scenerio including what if Chilam and her are not together anymore. But, it does not mean she’s pessimistic about their relationship. She is also not a suffer-in-silence wife. She will discuss with Chilam if she found him to have too many rumours. It’s really funny listening to her describe Chilam. I think they have a very loving but practical relationship. They are (or at least she is) realist more than idealist.

But, she really is not a ‘suffer in silence’ type. It’s funny when you listen to her describe how she questioned Chilam. She said she believe he did not have any affair because she’s very sharp and Chilam is a lousy liar. She can always tell when he’s lying, so Chilam doesn’t bother to lie anymore after some time. Lol.
Shoot me if you want but I always believe Charmaine was in love with Chilam who may have been attracted to her but alas, he was already very much with Anita or probably have married her. You should never stay with someone who has cheated on you because you will never be able to truly forgive them. As the saying goes, “Once a cheat, always a cheat”. If a partner cheated on you because they were unhappy about something then they could have talked about it rather than jump in bed with another person. Obviously, we all get tempted but to actually act upon it is a different story. You have to remember the fact that they cheated on you, meant they were the ones willing to risk everything you had together. I understand the various reasons why people stay with their cheating partners but there are no reasons for cheating. If you’re unhappy then leave, walk away
Suki, totally agree with you but sometime, it is easier said than done, especially when it involves children. But, at the end of the day, the best approach is to come to a mutual consensus for the benefit of both parties, which is also hard to do.
I originally didn’t really Anita and thought that Chilam could find someone better but I learn overtime, especially when she became a mother that she is very rigth with him. They have a very realistic relationship. Chilam seems like a very easygoing and practical person who is low maintenance. I personally think Charmaine is very high maintenance, so I am not sure if it would work between her and Chilam.

I think Anita and Chilam are a good match. Anita seems to have matured a lot after she became a mother so I am happy for her. Anita and Chilam seem so sweet to each other so I hope that they will have a happy and lasting marriage.
Actually, when Anita was younger, she sounded very high maintenance with a bad temper. She even admitted that as one of her problems, leading to her eventual declining popularity in the film industry. She said that she often got angry and held grudges against people. She credited Chilam for having a high EQ (emtional quotient) in the relationship. That was the young Anita and it sounds like motherhood has mellowed her a bit now. But she’s a vocal woman, so when she is displeased, I’m sure she makes it loud and clear for Chilam.
Charmaine seems like a pretty rational person; actually I’ll almost say her public persona is quite carefully “constructed.” In Stephen Chan’s interview with Charmaine, she came across as a private person and would not tell more than she wished to. She’s quite meditative, a trait which is similar to Kevin Cheng. She may have a frilly laugh (that seems to be her habit in shaking off questions she doesn’t want to talk about). Inside I think she’s quite mature even at a young age (her father died when she was 5 years old). Even Bobby Au Yeung said that she is very straight-forward, quite opposite of her perceived image.
In comparison, I’ll say Anita’s once hot temper was probably harder to deal with.
Thanks for the info Jayne! I also heard about how bad tempered Anita used to be so am glad that she is better now. I think it is good that she speaks out if anything is bothering her instead of keeping it all inside and then exploding all of a sudden. I used to hear that a lot of people did not like to be around her since she had a bad temper. She and Vivien Chen did not get along when they filmed Xiao Ao Jiang Hu. But Suzanne Xiao Shu Shen loves Anita and enjoyed working with her a lot. Therefore, it just depends on who you click with more I guess… I am glad that Anita has matured more and is a better person now because of Chilam and her son.

Charmaine from what I can observe is very quiet in real life, and tougher than she looks. I think as she became more seasoned in the entertainment industry, she tends to be more quiet and distance herself from her male or even female co-stars to avoid gossips. She does come across rather aloof sometimes and I feel her eyes sparkle less these days, as if she got older, wiser and more wary.
Yes, her father died when she was 5, she and her mom are very close, she learned to be independant and I dare say emotionally detached. She once said in an interview when she started out she was berated one time for forgetting to take a script by I believe a junior director then? She was screamed at and scolded with profanities as she tried to move along and continue her work. She went back to the van or something to cry. She doesn’t weep openly. It shows she is rather strong and she did hinted that foul mouthed assistant has become a director at TVB at that time?
Is it me or is it that the more famous the siu sangs and fa dans are, the more glazed sort of look they have? Like this mona lisa sort of smile, their eyes rather dull but the smile is fixed there, there is no longer that animated looks when talking like when they were in their youth? I notice that with Charmaine especially, she was much more “alive” when she was younger. I think gossips really made her rather wary as to how she interacts with her co-stars and some are her friends and some mere colleagues.
And I saw Cecilia Cheung on TV yesterday. She is prettier now, fuller faced and again that glazed look in her eyes. Anyway what really made her grow up and become more mature is the photo scandal (remember how she used to berate the media for invasion of privacy during the Carina Lau incident?) and what stabilises her is her children and a big credit to good husband Nicholas who looks more and more like his dad. He mentioned something about her with Stephen Chow? Is she starting to act again and with Stephen Chow?
Funn, regarding that incident with the assistant director, it was during the filming of her 1st series. She has only one line in the scene, which is “Thank you Mum.” Aside from screaming profanities, the assistant director threw a copy of the script at her, but it hit the wall instead. She calmly finished her scene, and later attended an event for MHK, then back to the filming again. Only when she completed her jobs of the day and went on a cab to go home, she cried. She did not complained to the management, instead it was the bystanders who faxed in the complaint to TVB.
The assistant director is now promoted to director and in fact she worked with him again with no grudges, at least from her side.

Her quietness often can be mistaken as being a snob when on the other hand she may be a woman of very little words. I would also forgive my husband. After being together for a long period of time, it is really hard to just break up/divorce, forget everything and move on. If there is mutual love, there is always room for a second chance. However that doesnt mean that the cheater should take forgiveness as the “invitation” for more cheating. It is way more than looks in a marriage you know. If you love a person, would it matter when they lose their looks. Also, you would both be getting old which is why personality is more important than looks since looks wear out with time.
