Pregnant Linda Chung Makes Appearance in New Video

It’s been a while since the fans have last seen Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣), who is currently resting in Vancouver and will soon give birth. Linda’s last appearance on social media was in May, when she announced on Mother’s Day that she is carrying her first child with husband Jeremy Leung.

On Friday, Linda made a surprising appearance in a brief endorsement video dropped by the skincare Bio-essence, which Linda regularly endorses. “Long time no see. I am Linda Chung. Do you guys miss me?” greeted Linda.

In the video, Linda shared with fans some of her skincare tips and endorsed Bio-essence’s latest line. It was modestly filmed; the video was shot inside some kind of home room office. Linda herself sat in an armchair and hid her belly behind a large stuffed animal.

Rumors have been going around since earlier this month that Linda has already secretly delivered her baby in Vancouver. However, the rumor was denied by TVB executive Virginia Lok (樂易玲). According to a new source, Linda will be giving birth something at the end of August.

I think the most elusive pregnant woman is Linda Chung. She has never shown her baby bulge.

@janet72 She’s probably hiding her bump in this video cos she has already popped. 620 claims she’s due only at month end. What difference does that make? Her marriage is still shot gun.

@isay her marriage is shotgun…the way she tried to confuse people with her quiet marriage and wedding ceremony is irritating. why must she go to this extent to hide?

@janet72 I know, right?! I don’t particularly have an opinion of her either way, but the whole way she’s dealt with the situation just seems like she had something to hide.

If she wasnt showing much of her pregnancy bump on her pre-wedding and on the day of her wedding

    1) she shouldnt have worn such a lose fit maternity looking white dress on her stage appearance with Ruco Chan in the States, http://asianpopnews.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/LindaChung11.jpg

    2) her red Chinese qua worn on the wedding day, made it too obvious that she was pregnant, she could have worn something more form fitting at least.

If she’s due this month (August), then that means that she would have only been 2-2.5 months prepgnant at the time of her wedding, right??

Don’t understand why she’s trying to hide whether she’s popped or not. Just to prove that she didn’t get knocked up before her wedding?

@myxx it’s so foolish to hide her baby bump…she was already talking crap about not mentioning about ‘it’ but kept going on and on.

Her Valentine’s Day concert in US with that loose white dress was a giveaway.

I don’t think she’s trying to fool anyone into thinking anything. Especially when she was married months before the actual wedding. I mean she took wedding photos way before actual wedding, and dedicated a wedding song to her husband way before. I do however think she might be very superstitious like some of the people I know. They refuse to admit pregnancy until 3 months, fear of baby being 小氣, meaning the baby will be upset. And then refuse to let people know of baby being born until 滿月, which is one month. And that’s the pattern she seems to be following.

@abcd agree with you on this one.

Also she already said she was already married prior to her wedding banquet so technically its not a shotgun marriage.

If she gave birth already then congratulations. If not, hoping for safe delivery! Always nice to hear happg news.

Everyone saying they don’t understand why Linda’s being elusive about her pregnancy… what I don’t understand is why it’s any of our business about how she deals with her pregnancy.

It’s not anyone’s business then why bother broadcasting and accepted HK press to be at her wedding and such? I don’t think ppl CARES as if she’s a family member but since this is an entertainment forum, you can’t expect ppl to zip it and not state their opinions? If she didn’t want anyone to talk/know about anything. She could have very well just skipped back to her born country in silencew/o announcing anything until perhaps when the kid is old enough to walk and then if she wants to let ppl know then she can announce it if she’s ready? Everyone knows she is pregnant in her wedding dress, why does she cover up her baby bump w/a stuffed animal? For cuteness sake? I guess we will never know since no one can read minds of another.

Linda said that she was married before she became pregnant. Well, maybe, maybe not, it is her family matter. It will be very bad for her to lie, and the truth comes back to bite really hard. It is called karma. Chinese women can be strange when pregnant though. I know a HK born woman who worked at Scotia Bank. She was married and when she became pregnant, she tried to hide her stomach and behaved like an innocent five year old, all virginal and untouched. She pretended she was not pregnant most of the time, and got embarrassed when congratulated on her pregnancy, even when she was about to pop. It was embarrassing and frustrating to see and hear. Linda’s actions are so uncalled for. No need to advertise to the public and media, but no need for her elusiveness either, seeing that she herself, was the one who let the world know she is pregnant.

I know, most asians don’t really give a c**p about it these days. Perhaps b/c she sort of belong to this ‘virginal’ club as those other 4 gals of TVB that they feel a need to keep that virginal name for life? haha lol… or else i really don’t get that s**t about keeping it a secret if you had the kid already. Sigh….. The minute I heard her talking how she doesn’t want to jinx jinx i was LMAO. haaha lol… So superstitious and unbelievable. No matter what, everyone will feel it is a shotgun marriage cuz one minute she’s single and the next day she’s married with a kid along the way. Her wedding dress didn’t flattering at all, she looked pregnant no matter what comes out of her mouth. Sighhh….

@kiki I totally agree with you. I don’t really give a crap about whether she got knocked up before marriage or not except that i just can’t stand the way she and her (tvb?) PR people are trying to pull wool over our eyes by their carefully crafted timeline of events so as to protect her (obviously fake) good girl image. Do they really think that we’re idiots?

@isay that’s the point! the way TVB people and her virgin club hid the timeline really makes us look like fools who are ready to believe everything they say. what kiki mentioned is true…one minute broke up with Philip and went to Canada to heal wounds…next she is married to some nephew of TVB guy. After 8 years with a guy and out of the blue, she met her Mr Right.

EXACTLY what I am thinking on the part that she is the one letting the world know she was getting married. Now you want to be elusive about the baby? Come on, HK press dogs are always in a run for anything juicy like they will give her a break until they find out the gender and sex and a baby pic. LOL..hahah too late to hold them back now.

  10. It think it is rather unfair for those readers to be judging Linda based on their own assumptions. First of all, it is a well known fact that Linda and her family prefer to maintain a very low profile, mainly because they are very private. This has consistently been demonstrated in Linda’s behaviour and the comments she provided in her interviews, I am not surprised that she kept her wedding a secret at the end of 2015. She, being a highly popular celebrity with many fans and a hot topic among the reporters; I totally understand and appreciate where she is coming from. As it turned out, the news of her wedding banquet was leaked even though she had tried so hard to keep it very low key. Nevertheless, she received and entertained the media people with poise and grace — traits she has consistently demonstrated since she stepped into stardom. I can’t blame her for not wanting to share too many photos of her pregnancy — I, for one, and many other women also, do not really wish to share photographs of us looking “plump” and pregnant — call it vanity or whatever — each to her own. Hurray to those who don’t mind sharing, but please respect those whose philosophy may differ. Yes, I often wonder too, why she doesn’t keep her fans posted and update her weibo or instagram accounts with notes or comments. But I also recall how tired I was when I was expecting my babies. Again, each person is different. There maybe many reasons why she does not update as often as we’d like. But that does not mean she no longer cares. I know that if I had been in the public eye, and away from my family for the past 13 consecutive years, I too would lie super low and truly savour and enjoy the private time with my new husband and quietly await the arrival of the new baby, as Linda is doing. We should all be wishing her the time of her life as she enters her new life stage. Congrats to Linda, Jeremy and her family. They are finally altogether again at home in Canada!!

Personally I think Linda Chung is a bit stupid for not admitting the number of months of her pregnancy. People will find out sooner or later. There are so many celebrities nowadays getting married only after a few months’ pregnancy and they all admitted that before or after their marriages. Ruby Lin was a good example. As long as the baby has a father, that matters.

@orchid123 The problem for Linda is that her husband is not the father of the child she is bearing. She got knocked up by someone else who refused to marry her. So being the goody two shoes (or the image she has been projecting), she has no choice but to find a guy who was willing to “eat dead cat”as they say in cantonese. This is the real reason for all this secrecy.

      • happybi replied:

@creditor well I think most people here won’t assume she is carrying someone else baby beside her current hubby. Most of us just think it was a rush-rush marriage and hush-hush baby because the baby was conceived prior to her official wedding. Since she was part of the virgin club at tvb, she need to keep a certain image of not having sex prior to marriage. Hence the hush-hush baby part.

I’m not saying you are dead wrong as I don’t know them personally.. I’m just saying those are pretty bad allegation you have. These types of post can be damaging to a celebrity or honestly to anyone if taken seriously and rumor spread.

I believe Linda might have gotten pregnant before she got married, which is her business, as she is an adult. I also believe she is going to great lengths to keep her pregnancy matter hush hush because she is part of the Christian virginal group. IqI have no doubt that the child is Jeremy’s because he is the father.

@bubbletea Wow! You are quoting the bible now. Well, if you know your bible well, you ought to know the difference between being righteous and being self-righteous. The bible verse applies only to the righteous and NOT the self-righteous. In Jesus’ days, the Pharisees were the self-righteous that Jesus condemned and warned us becoming hypocrites like them. I now know that there are 2 such forumers here.
