Raymond Lam’s Second Batch of Intimate Photos Emerge; Did Not Break Up With Mavis Pan Yet?
Due to the exposure of Raymond Lam Fung’s bed photos with Mavis Pan Shuangshuang, he could no longer deny his past relationship. Raymond’s only choice was to acknowledge dating Mavis for several months. He claimed that their relationship ended one to two months ago, portraying himself as a hurt man. Although Raymond’s image did not plummet drastically, it did detract millions of fans’ fantasies.
Raymond Proposed to Mavis on Valentine’s Day?
Following the sensational response of the first batch of bed photos last week, Next Magazine published a second set of photos in which Raymond and Mavis kissed while holding a bouquet of flowers. Allegedly, on Valentine’s Day, Raymond even proposed to Mavis, who clearly wore an engagement ring on her finger! The couple was ecstatic and took the photos to capture the moment for their memories.
Raymond and Mavis Did Not Break Up Yet?
Although Raymond claimed that his relationship with Mavis ended one to two months ago, Next Magazine speculated that the couple did not truly break up yet. Although the first set of Raymond’s bed photos were released on March 16th, reporters allegedly spotted Mavis entering Raymond’s home in Hong Kong on March 15th! This may disprove Raymond’s claims that their relationship had ended awhile ago!
Holding concerts throughout various cities in China at the beginning of March, Raymond and Mavis did not have time to meet in Hong Kong until March 14th, which was White Valentine’s Day. On that day, Mavis was spotted taking a taxi to Raymond’s apartment building. The building security did not deter her entry, implying that she made frequent appearances at Raymond’s home. Emerging from the building, Mavis was spotted carrying several shopping bags.
Since dating Mavis, Raymond often requested her to meet him in China and Hong Kong. An inside source stated that when Raymond was filming Ad Mania <廣告風雲> in January, Mavis arrived in Shanghai to meet him for several days. “Returning to Hong Kong, Raymond asked Mavis to stay at his apartment in Hong Kong, which will prevent other people from discovering their relationship. He was very careful and afraid of other people finding out.”
What is the Truth?
Since the outbreak of the bed photos, the outside world speculated that Mavis leaked the photos herself and was using Raymond to generate publicity for herself. Mavis was heavily affected by the criticism. Mavis’ manager, Miss Lam, explained, “We are investigating how the bed photos got released to the media. Earlier, Mavis had a disagreement with her assistant, who had access to her computer password. We are still trying to investigate the matter further.”
Allegedly, Mavis sent a text message to Raymond explaining the incident. However, Raymond did not respond to her message, clearly drawing the line between them.
Raymond’s Response
Appearing at TVB City in preparing for filming Return to the Three Kingdoms, Raymond acknowledged that he was aware that the second set of intimate photos with Mavis were released. He appeared calmer than when the first set of bed photos were published. Regarding the kissing photos, Raymond said that they were part of a beautiful past and did not have much to comment. Asked whether he was worried that further intimate photos would surface, Raymond said it was normal to date and will focus on work instead.

Jayne: When the bed photos surfaced, Raymond said that he did not know why Mavis had to do this, implying that he believed she leaked the photos. I knew from the day the first batch of photos were leaked that there would be more to come. The way Raymond responded to the public seemed like he was trying to hide something more or at least not piss off Mavis anymore. I’m sure this story will only get better…
i believe the photo dates are very close to accurate. for the paps/reporters, they can’t lie when the picture was taken because its electronically dated and when its taken has its importance so their code is to report it also. if those shots are from reporters of Mavis entering his home, then its going to get into the upper hands fast, then the head poncho orders for its releases red hot off the press. if there are even hotter photos, they are in line, after this batch. they cant get it all in just one issue. it’ll run for as long as there are new photos being available.
If you take pic by cellphone, there won’t be a date on it.
oh, if the photos hav’nt been rename, you could find which mobile or computer its from. in my opinion, stop blaming some Assistant having Mavis password, thats a dry silly excuse is it not from the manager, admit to childish actions and get on with the acting or catwork!!?

Anyways, going back to the article. I’m in total shock twice in a row because 1) he dated Mavis Pan and didn’t have a clean break up with her and 2) he proposed to her.
Seriously! You ought to have a clean break up otherwise you’d drag out this unbreakable relationship to nowhere. When it comes to relationships you really need to say “I want to break up with you” rather than just “understanding” that “oh our relationship is over” in the back of your mind. Someone HAS to be the bad guy and say “I want to break up with you” to clearly draw the line. Now you have the WHOLE world speculating if you’re telling the truth or not. It’s obvious that Mavis was in Ray’s apartment on March 15th and what does she want? Getting back together and try to make their relationship work? Probably. As far as the proposal goes, no comment. It was his personal choice.
I also read the article from magazine photos that Jayne uploaded. It said that there’s a reliable source that whenever Ray was in Hong Kong he would call Mavis to come and stay with him, and when he’s in China he’d call her and ask her to be with him . If that’s true then I’m disappointed in Ray and Mavis isn’t the brightest girl.

Although Raymond and Mavis seem very much in love and she is wearing a ring in the photo, it’s not the typical diamond engagement ring. I think Next Magazine saw that little band on her finger and ran with the headlines. I’ll like to hear what Ray has to say first.
As for entering Raymond’s apartment, not sure when Mavis was there. It’s hard to prove when the photos were taken.
The details of Ray and Mavis’ story is a little mysterious. If she is bent on destroying his good image and submitted the photos herself as we first thought, wouldn’t granting a tell-all interview entitled “I Slept with Raymond Lam” generate huge publicity. But no magazines have managed to get her to really talk to them.
If Raymond and Mavis are still together, the she’s taking a lot of this heat alone, which doesn’t seem likely either.
Maybe she felt that by blaming the release on a (fake) third party she could garner the press’ attention, while still appearing as a nice girl with good intentions (as opposed to a fame-seeking *insert expletive*)? 😛 Just a theory for the sake of discussion.
All in all, this “scandal” has done more harm to his career than it has to her’s, so I doubt there is really any beef going on between her and that assistant, as suggested in this article.

I noticed the silver (or clear colored) band on her right hand and I want to put myself in denial because I was hoping it wasn’t true. LOL I am a big Raymond Lam fan since his debut as one of the main lead in “Eternal Happiness” but not to the point where I want to have his signature and go to all of his concerts. I support him by purchasing his CDs and DVD movies. But finding out his relationship with Mavis (and the proposal) was unexpected. I read an article online that he did an interview that discussed his relationship with her. I’m anticipating like you are in finding out what he has to say about this.
You made a great point. These photos could have been photographed at another day, but I have a feeling that the date is accurate. If we are the paparazzi and we took these juicy photos, what are we going to do with it the first thing? Publish them! Tell the Chief Editor about this story not only will it help the company make money but to also satisfy their readers’ hunger for gossip. Our curiosity is what drives our urge to buy the magazine and read all the details. I’m pretty sure it’s like the newspaper boy would say “Get your newspaper! Hot off the press!” type of thing.
I’m curious to know about the details as well but my problem is WHO is telling the truth. When one party or the other is hurt in a relationship, he or she would usually twist the story around. If Mavis’ intention was to destroy his image she wasn’t successful because we (the females) would assume automatically that she was the one who released the photos; therefore, everyone is bombarding her with harsh criticisms. I personally think that if she stepped out and discussed this to clarify what happened then she wouldn’t be in such a mess. But since she kept herself in hiding it would only make things worse. I feel that she’s being immature and irresponsible as an adult to face this matter. No matter how ugly the situation is you still need to face it “like a man,” 😛

This whole situation is where to point the finger on who to blame. Once a girl is hurt in the relationship, she would feel that she has the right to lay the blame on anything or anyone. If I blame you and you blame me for this or that, then it will never end.
I agree. This “scandal” did hurt his career but you should keep in mind that he’s been having a very SMOOTH career from the day he entered the industry in 1999 up until now. Do you truly believe that an artiste has no ups and downs in their career? I believe that a person DO have their ups and downs and now it’s just one of those moments for Ray. TVB has worked him hard and promote him so much accepting endless jobs nonstop. When is there time for himself to think and reflect back on his life? It’s a setback for his career but at the same time it’s a good thing. It makes him think and reflect on the situation at a deeper level. Let’s just hope that he can become a stronger person once all this ends.
If this were all real do you think Mavis would actually be okay with this. If a batch of naked/sex photos do emerge in the future, it’s obvious that a lot of backlash would ensue for Raymond. It’s going to be more worse for him than it was for Edison, whose image was never clean or proper to begin with.
I also wouldn’t be surprised if they are, in fact, still dating, simply because the new photos seem to point out that their relationship was (or is) much more intimate than Raymond is leading us to believe.
Okay, scratch that last paragraph. Just read another article that stated Raymond admitted to having dated Mavis for half a year before they broke up. I originally thought he only admitted to dating her for a few months.
Raymond seems to always change his statement. But, a few months can also be half a year since 1/2 year means 6 months. 😛
We never know when the picture was taken since the pictures have no date, especially the picture of her going to his house and on the street. This could be taken any day before their breakup. But, what I can see is, they were very much in love and happy in that Valentine’s pictures.
If the pictures were really taken on Valentine’s day, he would be lying no matter which valentine’s day they were taken. If last year’s V day, he’s lying because he has supposedly only dated her for 1/2 year and they broke up in January this year. If it’s this year’s V day, he’s still lying since he supposedly broke up in Jan.

It isn’t V day of these 2 years. In 2010 on V day he was caught to come back to Xia Men and a day before that he was in a function in Hongkong all the night while she was in Beijing with her family. On 2011 he was in EEG’s teapot all the night while she was in Bei Jing.
The reporters claim he ran home after EEG’s dinner on Feb 14.

Someone from another site mentioned that Mavis stated she lost her phone about a half a year ago, so if the photos were indeed taken on Valentine’s day, then either she or the reporter is lying. But now her manager is suggesting that the source of the photos might be coming from her computer, which sounds really sketchy to me.
It’s difficult to put the pieces together when there are so many discrepancies between the two parties’ alibis. In one article, it seems like Raymond is convinced that Mavis released the photos and feels betrayed by her (which would explained the tears). In another article, he’s clearly defending her, stating that she isn’t a bad person and we shouldn’t make assumptions (in which case, why in the world was he crying?).
Starry, yes there are definitely discrepancies inboth parties’ stories.
There are even discrepancies in the news reporting too. Some news claim that a Caucausian man had propsed to Mavis and that’s why we see Happy H-moon and those sandal photos. Allegedly Eric Mos helped compose a song for the man to propse to Mavis. Now Next Magazine is claiming those sandal pics were taken when Ray and Mavis went on their” honeymoon” together.
Hmm…what to believe? The story seems more muddled than ever.
1) She said she lost her phone and got it back. This has always been her statement. No change. Maybe some reports left of this detail. But, I’ve read a chinese report way back when the photo was first leak. She said she lost the phone at the saloon and tried very hard to get it back. I don’t know how to translate that part to show exactly what she said. But, the point is, she got the phone back.
2) She said she suspect the pictures might be leak back then at the saloon. But, she didn’t say it’s absolutely the case. She also said her phone has password lock. It’s very logical to suspect all possibilities when something like this happen. When the pictures came out, she might thought, ‘how did the picture got out’ and start thinking of all the possibilities. Now, they have knew leads. Nothing sketchy about it.
3) The pictures on V-Day might not be taken by Mavis or taken with the same phone. Heck, maybe Ray also have a copy of the pictures since it’s sweet memory pictures.
Overall, I still find Mavis’ account more consistent.
But, no fear. I don’t think Raymond will be so stupid to take naked pictures or sex tape after the Edison fiasco. So, even if there’s more pictures to come, it will most probably just be more pictures with clothes on. No big deal. 😀
Someone found out that Mavis were on work in Beijing on 14 Feb. Therefore the proposal is unable. And the picture of then entrace is in Dynasty Court while LF moved to Causewaybay from the beginning of this year.

Maybe Raymond has offended someone in the media. Those pictures of Mavis going off the taxi and going into Ray’s apartment certainly was not taken by her (those are long shots taken from far away). If this pictures were taken last year, that means someone in the media already know Ray’s dating. They just didn’t report it.
Or is this one elaborate scheme on Mavis side, taking all these photos, including hiring a spy to take the long shots, for her publicity? A scheme that span a few months? Haha. I doubt it. Just my imagination running wild. 😛

I kind of wondered the same thing too. I wonder if he got blackmailed at all with this incident with someone from the media, threatening him that if he did not consent to their demands, they would release more pics.
I would also hope that not only them, but all artists would learn a lesson from the Edison Chen scandal to not take any nude pics with their mates and save them on a phone or computer. Bottom line-just don’t take those kinds of pics! That would be the safest bet.

I don’t think he needs to offend anyone at all. This is what sells magazines. Maybe they weren’t sure so they didn’t publish until they made the connection with these leaks.
Let me speculate. If they were still together at the time of the 1st leak, now with this 2nd leak, I can say Ray would have broken up with her. I tend to believe it was a romantic holiday and a ring can be a promise ring because I would think Ray is too young to marry, not at this stage. Or are they underground now? The way Ray answered I think not.

Now the real scandal is not who he dated, or the pictures but the Andy Lau insinuation; that he lied to the public. I think Ray’s image got a huge dent thanks to these 2nd set of pictures.
As I’m seeing now, his fans (who survived through the 1st wave) dun have any problem with the second patch. Actually his lie dun affect the fans much, as they saw too many white lie like this in the industry (Edison, Andy, Charlene and Ronald, etc.) so fans don’t really care for the lie. Moses doesn’t have a singing career, he just an established actor, which is needed of all ages but different for the singing industry, they should start young(look at American artists promoted/emerging always 16 + ). artists like Mag Lam, and the young voice actors are what every company wants and get better long term returns from. performers under 30 is best. twenties still good too.

Still didn’t prove the date of the flower pictures. Only prove the date of the pictures that Mavis took alone on the bed. I’ve always thought the bed pictures and the flower pictures were taken at different places and different time.
Do you see her shirt? It is the shirt she took alone on the bed. The magazine also says these pictures are took on the same day which is the V day.
I read the magazine, and I’ve never once thought the pictures were taken in the same day. Maybe I misread the mag. I thought the picture of her alone on the bed was an older picture. I also took the statement Mavis going to Ray’s apartment on 15/3/11 with a grain of salt because I know that the pictures can be taken any time.
This only prove that the magazine is making up stories of the pictures being taken on V-Day. But, it did not prove that the flower pictures were taken on 25/8/10. The shirt looks like a different shirt to me. Both are white but have different pattern and Mavis have a necklace on in the flower pictures but not the bed pictures.
As long as it’s made up, we can’t believe in anything in it.
What about Ray’s face or hairstyle? Can that be taken into account for the timeline?
Everyone is falling into the media’s trap.
1) There is nothing wrong with having a girlfriend.
2) It’s nothing wrong for Raymond not to be honest about having a GF. Imagine he did what Cho Lam did, admit he had one, (even Cho Lam lied for 1.5 years about his GF not in the entertainment circle), then with his popularity the paparazzi will be on his trails every minute 24 hours a day to find out who the “lucky” girl is… hence he will have no freedom to date. I understand his need to lie cos I would do the same if in his shoes.
3) He does not owe his life to his fans. His promise to fans is he will perform well in his job and so far he has done well and focused. (I was particularly amazed with his Let’s Get Wet performance knowing he had to film Growing through Life in Shenzhen and deliver so well both in the concert and the drama in such a short time) He did not promise the fans that he will report every single thing he did with his life and seek approval before doing it.
4) Fans are like friends, only through adversity you know your true ones. This is a great episode in his life to see who truly support him. This whole issue is a personal thing and if he lost fans who thinks they have an upper hand to play a part in how he should live his life and with whom then he should be happy to rid of these fans or else he may get into sticky situation like Andy Lau and wasted a big chunk of his life at the expense of his loved one because of irrational fans. He is strong to reserve his freedom even to the point he may be labelled as a liar or lose his fans. That takes guts. Like he said, he has expected it (not the photos leak but people’s reaction once they found out about his relationships) and I’m sure with his parents and a group of professional advising him, he knows his risks as well but willing to take it and go out with this girl for only reasons he alone understands and no one else. Whether its right or wrong he is the one experiencing it and it is part of growing up. Including making mistakes.
Coming back I feel it’s a plot of the media not to take down Raymond alone but TVB. Look at how they got to Bernice and indirectly Moses over trivial matters and nobody’s business. Then Charmaine and now Raymond. All the high flyers in TVB in a string of events. The news actually is not a big deal but they want us to believe or imagine things to the worst. Can see they bring out more news that are not true like Mavis past marriage and now the V day thing only to rebut that it is not true but the point is to get into your subconscious and give you a string of negativity towards the subject ie Raymond for this fact. Appledaily has gone to the point of simulating scenarios which if I was Raymond I will sue, just to programme your minds further with this issue with all the dirty stuff.
The headlines – bed photos – ppl alry associate with nude pictures although he was really just sleeping. Teary eyed want you think he cried and act for sympathy although I believe one would be upset and not a pleasant feeling but I did not see any tears rolling down his face anywhere. They have to ask him straight out – Did you cry? So what if he cried, he is human and have emotions, if he did not cry then people will say his heart is made of stone.
Conclusion – I agree with him – think what you want to think. Nothing a person does will make everyone happy. A person you like can do no wrong and a person you dislike can do no right. Like Bosco once said, people who trust you trust you even if you do not explain and people who does not trust you will not believe you no matter what type of explanation you give. One can only do so much.
But for people of Hong Kong- its sad to see your media bringing down your country’s talent’s for so trivial things. If your talent is popular, have more jobs especially international events, brand ambassador, advertisements or concerts all these channels back the earnings to your economy either to TVB as a corporation/listed co. or Raymond who pays 7 figures in income tax. I wish my country would value their talents more but we have lost all the good ones to Taiwan and Hong Kong.

I like Raymond for his works and talent, he has his life, I have mine. Whatever he does in his life, as long as he is still able to perform up to par, I dun think anyone has a right to question who he dates except his family.
