[STYLE] 2022 TVB Anniversary Awards
The 2022 TVB Anniversary Awards was held on January 8, 2023 and saw significant stars rock the red carpet, including Nancy Wu (胡定欣), Moses Chan (陈豪), Kenneth Ma (马国明), Elaine Yiu (姚子羚), Joel Chan (陈山聪), Elena Kong (江美仪), and more. Everyone was dressed to impress for Hong Kong’s biggest television awards event. Joel, Nancy, and Hera Chan (陳曉華) knocked it out of the park with their stunning outfits and bagged the Best Dressed Awards.
Both Nancy and Hera wore sexy black cutout slit dresses. While Nancy turned heads with her slim waist and legs, Hera drew attention with her exposed shoulder and high slit that showed off her right leg and sparkling thigh jewelry.
Other stars who notably wore high slit dresses include Best Show Host Award candidates Amy Ng (吴幸美), Heidi Chu (朱凯婷), and Toby Chan (陈庭欣). They also stood out from the crowd with their plunging necklines and colorful dresses.
As usual, co-stars walked on the red carpet together, and this year’s pairings were: Selena Lee (李施嬅) and Joel who worked on Barrack O-Karma 2 <金宵大廈2>; Tiffany Lau (刘颖镟) and Ruco Chan (陈展鹏) from I’ve Got the Power <超能使者>; and Jeannie Chan (陈滢) and Kalok Chow (周嘉洛) in Your Highness <痞子殿下>.
Selena and Joel dressed in monochrome outfits with Selena in an orange tight-fitted midi tank dress and Joel leaving a memorable impression with his oversized white suit and lovely magenta pink flower brooch that was gifted by his wife Apple.
Meanwhile, Ruco looked cool and crisp in his black and white suit while Tiffany captivated in a colorful almost see-through dress. Jeannie and Kalok opted for a more conservative look in white and black attires.

Winki Lai deserved a mention there with her all white power suit.
You could tell Nancy had a good figure since Twin of Brothers, but damn, nowadays, she works out 7 days per week. I think if she did the look without tights and went for thigh high boots or open toe sandals, she would have been perfection. Right now, she’s only 1 mm away 🙂 Joel was a model before he started acting and always took a risk with fashion so no surprise there either. A surprise entry and winner is Hera Chan. She does have really long legs and was a model before Miss but something about her fashion choices screams girly and sparkly and not fashionista IMHO. She does have a fresh look though! Elena Kong is a superb actress since she guest starred in a drama that Michael Miu was in when she first joined TVB (but I can’t think of the name) so it is 0 surprise she won for best actress but that dress was very inappropriate for the occasion.
Haha, agree Elena outfit was a bit inappropriate, even her costar Andrew made a comment about it when they were getting their award together. But all good. Yeah Nancy and Heras outfit look hot . They usually look good overall.
Except for WInki (minus the pants), wasn’t impressed by anyone.
Nancy and Hera looked like someone slung ribbons and cloth over them. Not my fav looks. I liked Hera’s hairstyle and makeup though – very gothy and reminiscent of Wednesday Addams.
I like Joel’s little accessories that breaks up the monotony. His suit looks like he’s ready to play jiujitsu.
I like Tiffany’s dress – it’s playful, colorful, bold. I think she’s always been a bold dresser.
Alice is gorgeous as usual, nothing out of place, but this year, also not too outstanding either.
I love Elaine’s dress. It’s the right soft shade for her and her makeup doesn’t clash with her outfit. Simply lovely and girlish.
Moon Lau’s cute and flowy, but nothing too spectacular.
What is going on with Angel Chiang lol. She wants to be from the flapper era and Elena Kong wants to be from the disco era lol. But I actually like Elena Kong’s look – it’s out of the ordinary and breaks up the “gala” look of the event.
Telford’s suit is cute. Not sure if Rosita’s image on the bottom is a mistake/bad PS or what…but she looks like she has lopsided boobs.
But my fav outfit from the event and the overall look, goes to Winki Lai. How she manages to make a simple white suit look so powerful and her makeup moody to match. Just some dangling accessories. Chef’s kiss
