Wayne Lai to Film “Some Day”

Recently finished filming Rosy Business 2 <巾幗梟雄2>, Wayne Lai Yiu Cheung appeared at promotional event for Pearl Channel’s upcoming broadcast of documentary, Life.   Wayne indicated that he has joined the cast of sitcom, Some Day <天天天晴>, which stars Louise Lee Si Kei, Teresa Mo Shun Kwan, Wong He, and Lau Dan.

Since the filming schedule of Some Day will be much more comfortable than Rosy Business 2, Wayne will have the opportunity to simultaneously film ads to earn extra income.  Recently, Wayne completed an ad for a restaurant. Did Wayne include his family in the project? “No, my son has more homework assignments in middle school. He can not always participate in endorsements.”

Jayne: Personally I think casting Wayne Lai in sitcoms such as Some Day is a waste of his talent. He’s a great dramatic actor and should be featured in more grand productions with tragic plot twists.

  1. But it may give him time to breath and spend more time with his family without the even more break neck schedule of a regular big time series? I’d rather he be the lead in a smaller production which casts actors rather than celebrities than to be crammed with others in a big production where fame is first, acting talent second.

    1. I agree that Wayne is a very talented and versatile actor and should be in big and good script. But taking part in sitcom does give him space to rest and breath. Also fans of him will be able to see him more. Also, more rest would means he will be able to recharge his energy for better performance in the future. I love him acting sitcom though. 🙂

  2. Hrm, but I guess sitcoms provides a steady income and doable workload? But from what I recall, didn’t Nancy Sit complain about VOH conditions, saying how much work it is to make a deadline? Hrm, maybe it’s different for every sitcom.
