Wong Cho Lam Doesn’t Plan to Work with Leanne Li in Dramas
Due to his versatility and ability to change his image and persona, Wong Cho Lam (王祖藍) found great popularity in Mainland China. Establishing his own production studio, the 36-year-old will also be busy with filming television series, variety shows, and movies.
Cho Lam expressed, “I am very happy that everyone has noticed the different sides of me. Variety shows have allowed me to break into the Mainland Chinese market. I hope that everyone will not get tired of me. I, myself, sometimes feel like I am repulsive too! I’ve noticed that my performance has neither improved nor regressed. Having more criticism will give me more suggestions.”
In addition to working on the post-production of the TVB and Mainland China series, Ne Zha and Yang Jian (哪吒與楊戩), Wong Cho Lam is also busy brainstorming ideas for season four of the popular variety show, Running Man <奔跑吧兄弟>. Wong Cho Lam remained tight-lipped about the upcoming season and teased, “Anyway, it will be an even better show. We will have the original cast and more impressive chemistry. I really needed a big turnaround.”
The multi-talented actor has also opened his production company, in which he will write the script and direct an upcoming movie. “I have been busy working on my new production company. I have an office in both Hong Kong and Beijing. Right now, I am preparing for everything. Other than performing, there’s also management, creative work, and other departments to worry about. There’s a lot to learn.”
Asked if Cho Lam will work with wife Leanne Li (李亞男) in any upcoming projects, he said, “We can do so as a husband-and-wife team in variety shows since we are married. We are portraying different roles in dramas, so if the characters are compatible then that is okay, but we don’t have to force it if they are not.”
Due to his busy schedule, it seems that the 36-year-old actor does not have any plans to have children with Leanne any time soon.

Good to know he is doing well in China. Probably have more flexible then whe he was with tvb.
Will be hard for him to work with Leanne since she isn’t as popular so might not have a big role in a series.
She is at good age to have kids. Not really good to delay it as may never know when they are ready if there may be issue. Always good to start trying and see how it goes. Good luck for sure.

Why do you keep on nosing into WCL’s business if you hate him so much? Do you have nothing better to do? I can totally imagine you saying that Leanne went for IVF when she finally gets pregnant. It is really strange to spend so much time hating someone that you do not even know. Maybe Cho Lam and Leanne will try in 1 or 2 years later when Cho Lam’s company is more established and stable. He just started his company. He will need to commit fully to it for now. Having a kid and not be there for him/her is not good for the child. He cannot just leave everything to the wife.

I don’t think that its because he’s too busy to start a family. It’s just a method of answering the media. No one will say that ‘we are trying but we are not successful yet’ because it does sound rude and in case there will be problems that takes years to sort out. Answering that he is currently busy is a polite way of deflecting the question until the woman becomes pregnant.
@jimmyszeto that is true. I think most people who are trying or having difficulty will not say anything. So if it happen it will be good news to share. And if having trouble can use being busy as a coverup.
It only take a few minute to have sex but it doesn’t necessary mean one will concieve. So if one doesn’t know the topic please don’t try to sound like an expert.

If he does plan to have kid it’s a big responsibility and I don’t think it will be easy either since he’s got lots of other things to take care. I mean they both still young so if they waited for a little longer before they became a parents I don’t think it’s should be a problem as long they’re rich and can afford everything for the child need. Look at Andy Lau he become a father so late age and heard that his wife might be pregnant again. I’m sure WCL and his wife will make a great parents.
