Hiding for 6 Months, Hawick Lau Makes Rare Appearance at Rosina Lam’s Birthday party

It’s been six months since actor Hawick Lau (劉愷威) and Yang Mi (楊冪) announced their divorce. The 44-year-old actor has been keeping a low-profile in the months following his divorce, but Hawick has been increasing his appearances recently, leading many to feel that the single dad is finally bouncing back after his dramatic split with his ex-wife.

Aside from his appearance on CCTV show I Want to Go On Gala Night <我要上春晚>, Hawick appeared in the Hong Kong Handover Anniversary on July 1, in which he sang one of Leslie Cheung’s classic songs, “Chase” <追>.

In addition, Hawick also attended good friend Rosina Lam’s (林夏薇) 32nd birthday party recently.  At the party were also Nancy Wu (胡定欣), Edwin Siu (蕭正楠), Tony Hung (洪永城), Jazz Lam (林子善), Stefan Wong (黃祥興), Pierre Ngo (敖嘉年), Candice Chiu (趙希洛) and Tang Chi Wai (鄧智偉).

Hawick has been previously noted to resemble Rosina’s cousin, Raymond Lam (林峯), and many netizens did mistaken Hawick for Raymond initially in the group photos. But with a closer look, fans expressed their surprise at Hawick’s rare appearance, especially since he mysteriously hid himself from the public eye after moving back to Hong Kong to be closer to his five-year-old daughter, Noemie.

Birthday girl Rosina uploaded several photos from her party on Instagram. Smiling faces revealed everyone had an enjoyable time. Nancy also posted the group photo on her account and jokingly captioned it, “Who’s birthday is it exactly? Edwin are you sure you stood in the right spot?”.

  1. Time to move on Hawick………..Women who work in the entertainment industry are not good spouses………When they are not famous, they have to sleep with whichever director that offers them an opportunity……….When they do become famous and makes big bucks, then they will dump their other half who may not share the same status………..Better to just find a mate outside the industry dude.

    1. @yuaida So what about men in the entertainment industry? Let’s be fair here that at the end of the day we are all people and let’s also not be misogynistic or make asses out ourselves for assuming…

  2. I agree with yuaida. I read alot of articles that Korean actresses sleep with producers who offer them opportunities. It is probably the same for any regions. For men to do that, they have nothing to lose.

For family stability, best to have spouse that is not in acting profession as this area yields complex lifestyle.

  3. Didn’t even know they knew each other, I thought she joined TVB waaaay after he left
