Gigi Leung and Husband Sergio Grow Closer After Marriage

Gigi Leung (梁詠琪) recalls the fated moment she met her husband, Sergio, while traveling in Spain. The couple had a whirlwind five-month romance before getting married in Ibiza, Spain in 2011.  Despite what appeared to be a spontaneous decision in getting married so quickly, Gigi and Sergio have a wonderful marriage that has only grown closer over time.

Gigi said, “I backpacked through Spain, and I remember I saw my husband for the first time in Barcelona. I was wearing all black, including black boots, looking like a security guard. I didn’t have on makeup. He came over to buy me a drink, but my mom told me to never accept alcohol from strangers, so I told him that I’d drink cola instead. Later on, Sergio told me that he already saw me from far away and wanted to get to know me!”

Although dating for only a few months, Gigi and Sergio knew that it was their destiny to meet and spend their lives together. As time passed, Gigi only discovered more good qualities about Sergio. He is a very caring husband and also a great cook.

It also turns out that the loving couple has been trying to have a child for some time. However, Gigi suffered from a case of periarthritis, where her shoulder would become stiff and be limited in the movement. During the x-ray examination, Gigi discovered that her spine and pelvis was shifted, causing her to temporarily put a hold on baby plans. To help Gigi recover, Sergio often corrects his wife’s sleeping position.

Prior to meeting Sergio, Gigi used to care too much about what everyone thought about her. She became more open-minded and took on daring bed scenes with Louis Koo (古天樂) in their new film, Aberdeen <香港仔>As an artiste, Gigi feels it is necessary to not have any inhibitions and put in her best efforts. Sergio has been highly supportive and would cheer her on, shouting “That’s good!” when he sees a good scene.

    1. Not in the eyes of heterosexual chinese men, I believe.

    2. He looks like a nice guy, hope he is. Happy to see them happily together.

  1. Backpacking.. Reminded me of Joeys backpacking story. lol Very happy for them 🙂

  2. I saw the new film Aberdeen, and she was really daring in it..lol

  3. “He came over to buy me a drink,…Later on, Sergio told me that he already saw me from far away and wanted to get to know me!”

This is like the big bad wolf looking for prey. Somemore offer her a drink. Maybe it’s alright in Spain, I don’t know, but certainly not in HK, and Asia.

The first rule is, never go with a stranger. Even US school children are taught that from very young, Gigi.

    1. Yeah, “school children” are taught never to go with strangers. She was a grown woman backpacking on her own, I’m pretty sure she was old enough to decide whether or not to talk to a stranger, so you can stop with that reprimanding tone. It makes you sound stupid. Also, people buy drinks for other people world over, even in HK and Asia. You need to get out of the house a bit more.

      1. You need to see more and observe more.

People buy drinks, so you are one of those cheapskate who easily accept drinks from strangers, because it’s free or because your ego gets the better of you or both

How many women got spiked and date raped in America because of that? You are not one of those statistics yet, so you talk ‘big’ here.

I know, i know, i treaded into your worship of caucasian , hence your hostile reaction.

Stop teaching others to let off their guard, you should let off your condescending atypical we-know-best western culture tone. This is an Asian forum.

Don’t think that we do not know you. Your nick ‘mt’ is well known here for being a pro-gwailo, white licker in anything and everything.

In the end of it all, it only makes you look and sound stupid. You really need to see more and understand the world than holed up in your white picket fence brick house with flowers in the lawn.

      2. In an interview, Gigi said that she went backpacking with a Spaniard tour guide to show her around Spain and he introduced her to a group of people. Her husband was one of them.

      3. It is good to get out more and be more open, but at the same time be careful as well because many drinks are spiked and women get raped because of it.

  4. I think when he tried to buy her a drink, he was only thinking of hooking up for a quick shag with some easy-Chinese chick.

Probably never thought he’d end up having to marry her too………Somehow, don’t see these two lasting for more than 5 years.

    1. Quick Shag, than he realized she was a movie star and loaded.

      1. I was wondering about that because they supposed to be both living in HK. So what does he do other than relying on her support.

    2. Hahaha, you say it this way, this ‘mt’ commenter, as seen in his earlier reaction, will sure come after you !

He won’t buy into you labeling him, a white man as a vulture with lust in his mind.

This being said, I do find Gigi’s husband to be a nice, caring man, so far from the news we read of him, even though the source has only come from Gigi herself.

It is the way they met and gotten ‘introduced’ that is up for questioning.

  5. Just like 司徒若希 Tammy Szeto and 關樂敏 Tiffany Kwan, Gigi Leung has developed a case of White Fever.

    1. what’s wrong with dating outside your race? do you have a problem with it? i don’t see a problem with it as long as the two people are compatible then who cares?

      1. Totally agree! You marry who you love not based on race or nationality.

    2. The developed “white fever?” Interesting term… I just curious what color you’ve assigned to your racist views?
