Moon Lau Reminisces on Her Puppy Love

Goddess Moon Lau (劉佩玥) has become the focus of netizens, yet again, with her role as a paramedic in TVB’s currently broadcasting drama, Life on the Line <跳躍生命線>. In the series, she plays a couple with William Chak (翟威廉), her character’s first boyfriend and high school sweetheart of 10 years. In reality, she also met her first love during high school.

The lucky boy who stole her heart was an athletic student. “My puppy love was full of sunshine, beach, and sweat because almost every day after school, he would be practicing in the sports field or in the swimming pool,” Moon shared. “I would be at the stands studying while waiting for him to finish practice so we can walk home together.”

Although she would be sweating in the stands, she recalls it being very sweet and carefree. In fact, she is still good friends with him. “There were many good memories; he made me become an even better version of myself,” the Life on the Line actress said.

She expressed her expectations are very basic when it comes to love because love can be very simple. The most important is for trust to be present and they get along. “If I can make him trust me every day, he would trust me enough to tell me his burdens and communicate with me. I think this is very important.” Moon said, “I want him to talk to me during his lowest times and when he’s unhappy to find comfort and strength within me. I think this is the best kind of love.”

Moon revealed she hopes one day she will have a stable enough relationship to publicize it. “I don’t mind telling everyone if there is a person who makes me feel our relationship’s foundation is solid,” she expressed. “Dating is a happy event, so I also hope I’ll be able to brag about it one day.”

Although the star thought she would get married by the age of 25 when she was younger, she is turning 30-years-old soon. Now, Moon hopes to get married by the time she’s 35-years-old. “I like children a lot, so it’ll be a regretful if I don’t [have children]. But first I need a good partner, and while I wait for love to come along, I’ll do my best to work on myself. Hopefully, I’ll meet the perfect guy,” she added.

Moon is starting to be more health conscious, especially after her recent health scare regarding her lymph nodes and immune system. Indeed, she tells everyone to eat Chinese lettuce and tomatoes, as they are anti-cancer and very healthy. Although she used to eat a lot, comparable to a man’s food intake, she is making more of an effort to have a balanced diet, drink more water, and exercise. As a matter of fact, she suggests stretching in the morning and at night to lose weight and create better blood circulation and faster metabolism.

In addition, she hasn’t weighed herself in a long time because “numbers are not a good representation of a lot of things,” the goddess expressed. “Being lighter doesn’t mean you’re healthier; the most important thing is the body’s proportional balance. Being moderate is important as well.”
