Raymond Lam Sneaks Into Nightclub; Friend Curses Angrily At Reporter
Last night, Raymond Lam (林峯) was found sneakily entering Central district’s nightclub, Volar. Upon entering the nightclub, Raymond intentionally bent his head and pulled down his cap visor. When he left the nightclub at 5 AM, Raymond realized that reporters were taking pictures and quickly fled the scene.
However, two of Raymond’s friends lingered behind. One man was particularly hot-tempered and snatched the female reporter’s camera away. At the time, the female reporter asked the man to let go and explained that her work required [her to take photos]. However, the man did not care and continued to use foul language. The female reporter had to request the on site police officers for assistance.
When the police intervened, the man vilified the reporter by stating that she stole his camera. After verification, the police knew the man was lying and both parties settled their dispute.

Jayne: The article would have been more interesting had the reporter entered nightclub, Volar to take photos inside. I wonder why she didn’t do so? Perhaps Volar was an exclusive club for people on the invite list only?
That friend is a major jerk! I can understand you are pissed at paparazzi’s but that’s not a good way to handle them.

whats wrong with the reporters, maybe trying to make big news,want get many from the this inccident,want to try to ruin ray image, maybe ray just folowing his friend but not did anything wrong.

With Raymond’s popularity, I thought he would not just go to any nightclub. Of course the more exclusive, the better, to retain privacy. Perhaps a lot of celebrities go to Volar and likely the young generation of the rich and famous in HK.

Yes, the guy behind does resembles Tang Zhi Wai(The hair! :D). Going to nightclub with Tang Zhi Wai doesn’t necessarily mean working. Mr Tang sometimes accompany his TVB artistes friends for leisure too after work such going to concerts, cycling etc..
There’s nothing wrong with him going to nightclub and enjoying himself. The problem is he and other TVB actors portrayed a clean image. Even in ‘Club Sparkles’, he and Ron said they don’t go to disco anymore and don’t know what are the new disco in town.
See if Edison going to nightclub anyone will make a big deal or not.

It’s poor to be a celebrity especially the famous one, they will lose their freedom from enjoying like normal people. I feel pity for Ray this time for not be able to enjoy his free time with his friends. The papparazis are too much this time and I could understand the anger from his friend. His friend must be pissed off by this female reporter who must had been following them everywhere they go LOL.

I think clubs are a good place for a celebrity to “fade into the dark” and just mix with the crowd. After a few drinks, people probably would not think twice even if Raymond sat next to them in the lounge. The music and crowd gives off a level of energy that can be very exhilarating.
i think his friend should have held his anger. that’s to avoid the be on the news. but i can understand his anger. considering Raymond’s news in the past year. i think they have more than enough from HK media.
that makes me think of Raymond’s recent interview with Mainland China’s media. Not sure what he said exactly but something like “media don’t have to praise or say good things about us (entertainers) all the time. It is actually good already that they can just report the truth. it’s fair for us” LOL…guess never happens to any entertainers..
Depends on your image. If your image is that of a wildchild, even if you are famous, people don’t make it a big deal if you go to nightclubs.
Not really. Ron’s image is a kinda wildchild but reporters still made a big deal when he went to a niteclub. Same to Bosco.

Yes really. Ron and Bosco’s image are hardly wildchild. Just some relationship rumour. And Ron himself said he has not gone to disco for a long time. All TVB promoted artists have to maintain a somewhat clear image.

Just curious about Raymond’s preferences, so googled the nightclub he was hanging out at. Volar is indeed a very exclusive nightclub.
Take a look at the ultra-modern interior! Perhaps Raymond sat at one of those skinny bar stools just the other night.

27367 HKD? Equal to less than the fee for an TVB eps of him. So being VIP of Volar isn’t hard to him.

His grandmother passed away on the 14 of july. Maybe he too sad and went nightclub for a drink to drown his sorrow. People always go drinking when they are feeling unhappy
14 July = the funeral in HK. His grandma passed away on 22 June in Xiamen.

I think Ray is not as clean as a man we all thought he was. It’s just the way how he makes money. You can tell alot about that person with the type of friends they hang out with. I don’t and wont surround myself with jerks or back talkers.

Though his grandma passed away, you can’t expect him to mope around, people are strange. When he cried at his grandma’s funeral, a magazine article and reports came out. When he goes clubbing, ppl say his grandma just died.

Kibby Lau looks A LOT like Mavis Pan though. And don’t say that he used clubbing as a form of mourning to drown down his sorrows. Looks like he was enjoying himself and having a happy time. And looks likes the stuff he says about ‘not having time to go out’ and ‘busy with concert rehearsal’ are not so true anymore. I don’t think any celeb is really that clean as some used to think. If they were, I don’t think they can last in the circle. All of the celebs involved in the Edison Chen incident are good examples. Shirley is a recent good example. Many used to think she was sweet and all, but now look… Even people that we know on a day to day basis can just be putting on an act, but we don’t even know any of the celebs at all so who knows how they really are??
