Rebecca Zhu Does Volunteer Work

Rebecca Zhu (朱晨麗) has received much praise from viewers for her recent roles in TVB action dramas The Stunt <特技人> and Fist Fight <兄弟>. Having just turned 30 this month, the actress was recently spied volunteering in Sham Shiu Po during her days off from filming highly-anticipated series Forensic Heroes IV <法證先鋒IV>.

On the day, Rebecca helped to distribute rice to the elderly as part of a seniors’ program. In order to keep a low profile, she wore a black cap and black sweatshirt, and made her entrance in a low-key manner. After greeting all the other workers, Rebecca then proactively helped with moving the individual bags of rice from large canvas sacks onto the tables, ready for distribution. It seemed she was quite familiar with the procedure for the event.

During the event, Rebecca enthusiastically greeted every recipient with a bright smile, and regularly asked them how they were. She was also happy to take photos with the participants there. When it was announced that the rice distribution would begin, Rebecca immediately lit up and welcomed every senior who lined up to get the rice, while also helping to place each bag of rice into their reusable bags. She also reminded them to take care of their health and to wear warmer clothes, showing a very caring attitude.

As the media were not invited to attend the event and it was not widely publicized, it is clear that Rebecca is not only a hard worker, but that she also has a big heart. At the end of the event, all the volunteers who participated took a group photo to mark the occasion. When asked about it, Rebecca expressed that everyone is welcome to participate.

  1. Lovely story. Since she’s not dressed for the occasion it really is incognito though press knows. Or press conveniently knows.
