“Dead Wrong” Completes Filming After 5 Months

TVB suspense drama Dead Wrong <致命復活> will be one of the major titles for 2016. Rumored to be this year’s anniversary drama, TVB invested over $30 million HKD on the project. The series stars Roger Kwok (郭晉安) and Vincent Wong (王浩信) as two Hong Kong doctors who were kidnapped and attained in Vietnam. While Vincent escaped, Roger was held captive for another 10 years. Meanwhile, Roger was presumed dead in Hong Kong, and his wife, portrayed by Joey Meng (萬綺雯), remarried. Roger suffered severe PTSD upon his return to Hong Kong.

The 28-episode series took more than five months to complete. The cast also spent three weeks in Vietnam for some overseas photography shooting. Having to film action scenes under the 38C weather, Roger said he would have probably suffered a heat stroke if he didn’t have a good athletic background.

A few weeks ago, Roger, Joey, and their costars Kenny Wong (黃德斌) and Rebecca Zhu (朱晨麗) were spotted filming the show at a crowded street in Kowloon City. Though they were on the same street, the four leads shot their scenes separately. The scenes consisted of very simple head shots and long shots, with no dialogue. Only Rebecca had to say a few words in her scene, and it was about her asking a question and talking in the phone. She filmed the shot four times.

It was an easy day of filming. Roger spent only fifteen minutes doing his scene. While waiting for Rebecca to complete her part, Roger amicably chatted with the crew for a few minutes. A staff member then escorted him to his minivan. Joey and Kenny, who plays Joey’s husband in the drama, walked off together after completing their scenes.
