During the promotional event for Death by Zero <殺手>, Brian Tse (謝東閔) disclosed that he and Ashley Chu (朱智賢) are no longer living together, just two months after Ashley became embroiled in a cheating scandal with married actor Jackson Lai (黎振燁). Even though Brian had forgiven Ashley and promised to stand by her side during the press conference that Ashley held for a public apology, the couple may have called it quits.
Although Brian said they still see each other and go to the gym together as Ashley is still on hiatus, so she spends a lot of time at the gym, Brian hinted that they went their separate ways. “I have moved back to live with my family, so I don’t live with her anymore. We are both individually busy, so I think it is best if she responds to her own matters,” the actor-singer expressed. “I am currently busy with filming, hiking with friends, exercising, and watching shows. I am quite busy.”
In addition to filming the tentatively titled Criminal Investigation Diary <刑偵日記>, in which he plays a mentally ill character who often talks to a doll, Brian is also preoccupied with promoting Death by Zero. For the series, Brian worked with Wayne Lai (黎耀祥) once again – 10 years after their first collaboration in Forensic Heroes III <法證先鋒III>.
No longer a green actor, Brian felt that his art has refined over the past decade. He also used the opportunity to learn from the veteran actors, as it is hard to film characters that are in the gray area of good and bad.
