Hera Chan’s New Romance with MIRROR’s Ian Chan
Miss Hong Kong 2018 Hera Chan (陳曉華) has not had many scandals since joining the industry. Her last known relationship was with singer Det Dik (狄以達), and they broke up after one year of dating at least two years ago. Single for some time now, she allegedly took the initiative to get close to her Paranormal Shop <異搜店> co-star Matthew Ho (何廣沛), who is the rumored boyfriend of Rebecca Zhu (朱晨麗). Although she often invited him out to eat together, her love was unrequited. However, the 25-year-old did not dwell on it and quickly found a new target: 27-year-old Ian Chan (陳卓賢) of Hong Kong boy group MIRROR.
Despite having seemingly nothing in common, Hera has a thing for dancers, and Ian can sing and dance as well as her former lover, Det. It turns out that they have been dating on the down-low for at least a month. Despite treading carefully, reporters caught wind of their alleged romance and discovered that they built a love nest in Tsuen Wan.
Not long ago, the paparazzi spotted Hera leaving her family residence in Jordan around 6 p.m. dressed in all black and a mask. She remained vigilant as she walked, looking left and right before rushing to the backstreet and boarding a dark-colored car parked on the side of the road. It turns out Ian was already inside the vehicle waiting for her. They drove straight to Sham Shui Po and frequently went in circles to avoid getting tailed. Eventually, Hera exited the car and went to a nearby restaurant to wait for a table. She kept her head low and played on her phone to dismiss eye contact with passersby while Ian stayed in the car and talked on the phone. After he parked the car, he entered the restaurant right behind his girlfriend, and they sat in a more discreet spot to enjoy the meal.
A few days later, reporters spotted Hera, who has been busy tending to her love nest, outside again. That day, she drove Ian’s car to Jordan to pick up her dog from her family residence for a grooming session. Afterward, she dropped off her dog with her family and then went to a department store near her new place to buy home goods and appliances. Since she won the grand door prize of 380,000 Hong Kong dollars at this year’s TVB Anniversary Gala, Hera went all out and bought a refrigerator and a massive TV. She also kept typing on her phone while looking at the rice cookers, possibly to ask Ian for advice. She added more homewares and an electric water boiler to her cart and hurriedly paid before hauling the items to her car in the parking lot. Hera then returned home to her love nest.
In response to dating Ian and using his car, Hera neither denied nor admitted to the relationship. She said, “We do know each other. I will not respond to matters unrelated to work. I will work hard, so I hope everyone can see my improvements.”
