Yang Mi’s Unphotoshopped Pictures Leaked

With multiple hits such as Eternal Love <三生三世十里桃花> and Legend of Fuyao <扶摇>Yang Mi (楊冪) is one of Mainland China’s most popular actresses. Admired for her “goddess-like” beauty, Yang Mi has porcelain skin and always appeared youthful. But recent unphotoshopped photos with Yang Mi’s flaws shocked fans.

Last week, Yang Mi was filming in Spain for her new movie, Baby <寶貝兒>. The film tells the story of a woman who was born with severe birth defects. Abandoned by her parents at a young age, she grows up as an adult and tries to save a baby in the same situation. Spotted on set recently, Yang Mi was seen wearing a flowy white Valentino dress. The elegant outfit highlighted her grace and sophistication. The photos were shared on social media through Yang Mi’s company, showing her bright-eyed and radiant-looking.

However, unphotoshopped versions of these pictures were leaked online afterward. Yang Mi looked tired and aged. Her skin appeared dull and dry, with heavy eye bags, and fine lines around her eyes. Most alarming were the wrinkles on her neck.

Comparing the photoshopped and unphotoshopped pictures side by side, netizens were quick to comment on the heavy editing. Some comments include, “They really did photoshop a lot!” and “Her skin looks like it’s sagging already.” However, some netizens were more realistic and defended Yang Mi, arguing that she is already well over 30 years old and is a mother. All things considered, she is actually in good shape.

  1. Wow how on earth is that even ugly? No wonder why Chinese people all need plastic surgery even as early as 10 years old bc they are too allergic to anything natural.

  2. i think it’s the clothes, the hair and the sunlight. i don’ think it has much to do w/ her age… chinese people always make women reaching or passed a certain age are supposed to look less than perfect. she’s not perfect in these pics, but who is? young people fight w/ ache, oily skin, then you have aging issues. the media and people in general should stop using age to justify why people look a certain way. a woman can still look great at age 40+ if they keep up w/ exercising, eat right, and manage stress well.

  3. Celebrities are no prettier than anyone else. Take away the plastic surgery, the makeup and the false eyelashes, veneers, and hair extentions, the large majority of them are nothing to write home about, and some of them are even fugly. Once I saw one without his dentures and hair extentions. I only realize it was h because he has a unique way of walking, his flat butt and body shape, and one of his arms is bigger than the other, otherwise, I would not have known him. I hid quietly so as not to awkwardly embarrass him. At the time this happened, he was only 42. He looked terrible. However, when he has his face on, he is not considered handsome, but he is okay looking.I feel sorry for those living under the illusion and delusion that these celebrities are the perfectly gorgeous people that are seen in public, or on the TV are really looking like that. This is what the unphotoshopped Yang Mi looks like. Nothing wrong with seeing an unphotoshopped celebrity. They are simple looking humans like the rest of the population

  4. I don’t have that much love for this woman for the simple fact that she’s not in her a daughter’s life like a mother should but then again it’s her life and choices. I don’t think she’s that great of an actress (mild but not great) it seems in China popularity is key to a successful movie career. Don’t even know why she’s still married. That’s just my opinion of her.

  5. Yang Mi looks normal in the unedited photos, not bad but not great either. I don’t think people expect her to look forever young or flawless at all times. However, I think the issue is people being too used to seeing her photoshopped or with some kind of filter to remove all imperfections and human like flaws, that when you see the unedited versions, you can’t help but be shocked at the huge contrast. Yang Mi’s studio always photoshops her photos no matter what occasion. I think they should stop that. Magazine editorials are fine but everything? That’s a bit much. It’s them who upkeeps this perfect image of Yang Mi. This is what happens when you’ve been meeting the press, media, and public with heavily photoshopped photos.

  6. Her looks have always been overrated anyways. She’s def not ugly but not exactly this huge beauty she’s been made out to be by her fans. It seems like her numerous plastic surgeries hasn’t exactly helped her much tbh

    1. @karina not just her looks her acting a well. She’s made out to be this heavenly beauty and wonderful person with no flaws by her fans.

    2. @karina
If she had surgery, it must’ve been minor as she doesn’t look that different from her childhood, judging from her baby pictures and dramas as a child star.

    3. @karina her surgeries really did do her well though I remember first seeing her with a big nose and square jaws, now she has a vshape jaw and thinner nose. It’s just she isn’t aging that well.

  7. Not a comment about Yang Mi’s looks, but about the article.
It’s not possible Yang Mi was shooting for her movie Baby a few weeks ago. The movie was already out a few weeks ago. She must have been doing a promotion for the movie or a photoshoot for one of the brands she’s an ambassador for

    1. @tungamy the movie initially was shot last year then was re-shot twice, the last one was around March 2018. Those photos were taken during her trip to San Sebastian, Spain for the International film festival. I’m not sure but there were many photos taken by passersby and Yang Mi looked good, well not as good as those published by her studio but much better than the photos on this article. It’s really confusing though

      1. @gunit101
well, and did you see those photos from the passersby? If not, then you can search some on weibo, it’s easy but of course if you choose to ignore and see things the way you do, it’s fine.

  8. No kidding Ik Yang mi photoshops but damn Yang Mi over here really be photoshopping all her pics. Like bruh all the pictures I’ve seen of her were flawless skin, no wrinkles, eye bags, and pale af. Yang Mi should be more confident in herself reason why fans are surprised is because she has too little confidence by photoshopping every single picture she has. She’s overworking herself and that’s not bad but we can see it affecting her with the eye bags and all. Maybe she should take some time off and spend some quality time with her daughter before it gets too late. I mean after all she isn’t the best actress like how she’s painted out to be so I don’t really mind not seeing her for awhile. Relaxing will help her out I mean she has been promoting Jaywalk and it’s artises like Dilireba like crazy but for a company that really isn’t even hers. She’s just a shareholder there so why tire yourself out instead of spending quality time with the family. I’m pretty sure her daughter needs her more than Jaywalk since she’s just a small shareholder there while she’s the only mom for her daughter.

    1. @mimi8 that woman would rather give up her daughter for daption or divorce her hubby before quitting acting or even take. Break. Lol. She has shows till 2021

      1. @gunit101 I seriously don’t get why she started a family when she knows she isn’t going to care about them at all. Like I feel sad for her daughter, what kind of mother ignores her child and cares for a company that isn’t even hers. People will admire her daughter for having a celebrity mother but then no one will admire her for having a nonexistent mother who only cares for fame.

      2. @mimi8 same criticism should be addressed to the husband too. I do think once you made the decision to become parents, the child’s need should be your number one priority. However, I don’t think it’s fair to always expect the woman to give up her career for the family. Why are people mostly blaming Yang Mi on this while Hawick Lau shares the same responsibility? And let’s be real, if anyone should give up their career to be a caretaker it’s him because obviously her career is going much better.

      3. @peanutbutterjelly he has been home taking care of the kid he even washed Yang mi’s clothes for her. Hawick posted pictures of his kid and things about her and in all his interviews he talks about his kid unlike Yang Mi who is acting like she has no daughter. I never expected Yang Mi the woman to give up anything but I’m saying she ain’t the best in acting and she really never took care of the kid she threw them to her in-law’s or husband only. It’s pretty irresponsible to have a family and act like you don’t have one the whole time by not caring. She cares for a company that doesn’t belong to her but doesn’t even care about her own family which is ironic to me. I’m just saying this from what I’ve seen she might be the best as she’s always painted out to be but so many things point to her being a horrible mother. Hawick may not always be in his daughters life but he seem to care about her more than money and fame.

      4. @mimi8 You can’t judge someone’s parenting by their social media activity or interview, that’s all marketing and self-promotion anyway.

Now I don’t know how Yang Mi is as a mother so I’m not going to speak out on that but I don’t think it’s fair to her by saying she doesn’t care just because she doesn’t talk about her family. To the public she’s an entertainer and that’s her job. Tons of male celebrities rarely talk about their kid or dove straight into work when they just had one but no one bats an eye. Only Yang Mi gets criticized for being a workaholic or keeping her family life private and that’s unfair. I’m not defending her because I do believe that as a parent you should have new priorities and responsibilities so IF she is really neglecting her daughter then she IS at fault. However that is true for men too but usually not expected, at least not as much as for women. You can’t deny that men usuallly gets a pass or get praised for doing the bare minimum (Hawick even washed Yang Mi’s clothes for her! Okay? So? Lot’s of working moms do that too for their spouse. Everyday. That’s not special).

Hawick should just become a stay-at-home dad in my opinion, that would work out well for them.

      5. @peanutbutterjelly same could be said for Yang mi when her acting hasn’t been improved at all. I’m not saying she’s horrible so if you feel pissed then ya know what not all has to like Yang Mi. I’m just stating what I’ve seen and yes I do feel like hawick cares for the family more there’s so many rumors on her being snobby to her in laws or how they have to take care of her because of how much hawick loves her. I only brought the washing thing and all up because you said hawick should take care of the kid or how I’m being unfair to the woman, but it seemed like you’re the one who just blindly jumps in to defend Yang Mi. I’m fine with her doing anything she wants I’m just saying why is she caring so much for a company that she only has a small amount of shares for when she’s the only one for her daughter but neglects her? And yes neglect because she’s never home and as said before acts like Jaywalk is her family and just throws her kid to her in laws or husband.

      6. @mimi8 Firstly, I can’t vouch for her acting ability as I don’t watch her shows but that has zero to do with this discussion so I don’t understand why you’re bringing this up. Objectively speaking Yang Mi is just more succesful than her husband is. Hawick may even be the better actor between the two, I don’t know because I don’t watch him either but that doesn’t matter. That’s why from a logical standpoint I believe that between the two if anyone has to give up their career it should be Lau.

Secondly, you can swap Yang Mi with any other actress and my point being women being expected to be caretakers still stands. Jay Chou jumped right to work after his second child was born but I don’t see outrage there? You can hate on her all you want but you have to understand that it’s hypocritical if the same outrage isn’t reserved for every single male celebrity in the industry that prioritize work (or so it appears) over family life.

And lastly, I still think it’s silly to judge one’s parenting based on social media and self promotion but you obviously care more about their personal lives than I do and have invested a lot of personal time following their every media report so I guess I’ll take your word about Yang Mi’s neglect of her child, albeit with a huge grain of salt.

      7. @peanutbutterjelly

Just in case I get attack like you too, first off I am not one of those stupid YM fans, and I’m also not one of those stupid YM extreme haters.

I agree with you about her parenting, we know nothing about it. Not sure why you’re getting attack here because all you stated was reasoning out why her parenting issue was even brought up here. I guess those who hate YM are really determine to hate her till the end.

But anyway, but what I think about Hawick is, just because he posted things online that he’s such a good father does not mean he is a good father. It’s impossible to wash off his cheating scandal whether he commited the deed or not because his action of going into another woman’s room late at night was just so inappropriate.
I will be ok with a hard working parent that did not spend too much time with me but I will not tolerate a parent who cheat on his/her spouse. Let’s frame YM with cheating scandals too because we just hate her so much but too bad she isn’t caught yet, at most she is flirty but who in the entertainment industry is not flirty? Flirty, photoshopped, plastic surgery, bad acting skill, etc. – Sounds like everybody else.

      8. @davy the guy takes her daughter to school back and forth, dum-minmisses her daughter’s birthday, Chinese New Year, her husband birthday whenever those above dates come off she’s always at fashion show or at a signing event etc. you telling me you’re missing your kid bday cuz u signing autograph lol. If she was a hood actress I would probably say that she’s working hard but she not. As for jay he sees his family more than Dum-mi

      9. @davy you mention scandal lol even after the tabloid came out and said they were lying but you won’t let it go. You’re one of those crazed fan so I won’t bother with trying to make understand how bad and stupid dum-mi. Yes she’s a cheater her entourage is just that at hiding it but eventually she’ll get caught and the first to defend will be u. One more thing she was caught on live tv grabbing a young singer shirt in a flirty way ( saw the clip myself) a married woman who has no time for husband or daughter but has time to flirt with guy twice or thrice her age image the chaos if it were hacwick playing with a young girl shirt in a flirty way…

      10. @peanutbutterjelly girl you totally miss my point I’m saying why is wearing herself out for a company that isn’t even hers, when she can spend quality time with her daughter? She is already a powerhouse name along with a bunch of money she doesn’t need to wear herself out like that, but it’s alright I mean not all can understand what others write.

      11. @mimi8 I got your point perfectly.

“why is wearing herself out for a company that isn’t even hers, when she can spend quality time with her daughter?”

You resent Yang Mi for prioritizing her work over her child. And this was my reply to you:

“Jay Chou jumped right to work after his second child was born but I don’t see outrage there? You can hate on her all you want but you have to understand that it’s hypocritical if the same outrage isn’t reserved for every single male celebrity in the industry that prioritize work (or so it appears) over family life.”

Just because you didn’t understand my rebuttal doesn’t mean you should accuse me of the same lack of comprehension. Just stop and take your hate elsewhere.

      12. @peanutbutterjelly just because you don’t understand that people can take a break without actually quitting especially celebrities who always take a break for their health doesn’t mean you’re right. Like girl stop and take your defense somewhere else I don’t even know Jay Chiu never praised him so there’s no point in bringing him up fake woke feminist.

      13. @mimi8 I get it, you hate Yang Mi and won’t listen to other perspectives. Good for you. That doesn’t give you the right to personally attacking other people, although I’m not entirely sure if ‘fake woke feminist’, whatever that means, is supposed to be an insult. I’m probably the same age as your mom so you can refrain from calling me ‘girl’, thank you.

      14. @peanutbutterjelly Ahhh got it you’re an elder ik old people can be stubborn with their views so no need to agree with me. Just making sure you got that taking a break for health now doesn’t = fired or hate, although I’m surprised at your time it was that harsh. Anyways have a nice day elder.

      15. @mimi8 It’s ironic you’d say that because I it looks like you’re the one who is refusing to even consider another viewpoint and starts personally attacking people… so I guess I’m not the stubborn one. Don’t be bitter, just be better.

      16. @peanutbutterjelly Ironically some old people consider themself right no matter what so all I’m going to say is things are different from your days and experience, your assumptions can’t always be right. Don’t be obstinate be open minded.

      17. @peanutbutterjelly no one says she should give up her career for her child just acknowledge the fact that you are a mother and a wife and some time with your family. You partially own the company which means you’re in control on your projects and decide what tv series to partake. So act like a mother for once

  9. Yang mi and Zhou Xun are the same, both married women but for some reason they like to flirt or in Xun case be intimate with younger people. Xun is sleeping with a 23 yr girl Leah Dou (Faye’s daughter) and yang mi…well she hasn’t been caught yet.
